Saying Canada has nothing to do with it is not correct, they may send for requests to foreign countries does not answer for the parts that they look at with in Canada.

Just take a look at the drastic change in processing times to get AOR1 in the last few months, or even from Feb to March. There is so much fluctuation in even getting SA that is done inside Canada which says a lot about how they are organizing things. Sure it's improved but they have a long way to go. I imagine that if you call just as many have done they will tell you they are processing applications for October, how can they even say that when it's clear that it's not true.

I'm not saying they have nothing to do with it overall, I meant specifically for the information sharing.

When we applied we got AOR in 10 days. I get it - it fluctuates - but people for some reason are unable to look at the big picture. It doesn't matter when you get AOR or SA or MR - they have never promised timelines for the individual steps. Only for the process overall - 80% of apps completed within 12 months.

Furthermore - if you're talking about the call center - another thing I don't understand is why people listen to what's told over the phone. These are call center agents and not IRCC officers processing files. We tell people this over and over and not to rely on them but they still do.

I agree they should be better informed but until then people need to stop relying on the call center for solid information.

For the record, it took our Irish outland app (as straightforward as it gets) almost 11 months. I get that the waiting sucks, but again it's a privilege and Canada's immigration system is superior to many others in the world. On top of that it's a great country to be able to live in.

Agreed !! I tried to call them and they told me the same .. they are still not so organized, they even spelled my husbands name and they are taking too long to fix it as well

I received biometrics payment request but can’t even pay it until they fix my husbands name I called IRCC they said they will take 5-10 business days to reply to the webforms ...:(

In my gckey account, it seems like nothing ever gets updated. Everything says in process even after I've received correspondence saying approved. I wish it was a little more helpful.
