whoa!! that great news am happy it all worked out for you in the end. lesson lent now. don't sign any official document for anyone.. lol even if the person signed somewhere else on thsesame document and forgot to sign some where else. might look harmless at the time but.. you know the rest.
I did not sign any document but my aunty signed twice and they were not sure about that because I got signature from her in 15 minutes once they returned my application that missing signature on photo.. Even my aunty gave them written statement but they refused my 1st application so I applied again and got passport .. 2nd time my guarantor was with me and signed in front of them.. But I can advise to everyone, if you are missing anything on your application then do not go same day , they will suspect on that ..

Hello,

I know this might not the right forum to post my question, but I'm hoping someone can guide me to the right place.
I just got my PR. Im planning to permanently move to Canada next summer. My plan is to study there for 3 years (masters degree). Can I use these 3 years as physical presence in Canada (1095 days) to apply for the citizenship? Or is there an immigration law that says that I should spend the required 1095 days working (hence paying income tax) not studying.
Thank you so much in advance

I don't think what you did in Canada as long as you are in Canada physically, matters for Citizenship. They are specific about the days spent in Canada, and abroad, and taxes filled too. But being a student you would still file taxes each year.

Hi,

I got this message on CAS:

Citizenship
  1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on March 29, 2019.
  2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on June 14, 2019.
  3. We started processing your application on July 29, 2019
what will be the next steps? waiting for FP request and test date invitation via email? Thanks!

Not everyone is asked to have their FPs done. So you may or may not be asked. Also next step hopefully is that you're invited to write the citizenship test. Mine was through the email for both FPs and test invite but I've heard people getting regular mails as well. Keep a watch out

How about that status update on ECAS that says, "We sent you correspondence.....", did that status not updated before you receive Test invitation email ?
Yes it was updated before email for test invitation.
