Hi I got my fingerprint request on 7th August and I got it registered at local police services on 9th August and they said results will be sent to you by mail and you have to forward it to CIC.
My question is: Which address I have to send the fingerprint results? Is it the same address mention under the fingerprint request letter.
Can I open the fingerprint result letter sent by the local police before sending it to CIC?
Pls. help.

Hi everyone,

I have a question. I am a march 2019 applicant and something weird happened to my application.

I got 4 different acknowledgment please explain.
1) Application delivered 08th march 2019
2) AOR 08th May 2019
3) Address change request updated 08th June 2019
4) In process ecas status updated and rep on file updated18th July 2019.

I have a wedding coming in December ( out of country for whole month cant be avoided ) and my job contract is coming to an end in September.
I am planning to leave the country to move with my husband ( he is Canadian pr + USA h1b holder) to USA.
Since my application is already in process and it can take long time till I get my test invite.

Questions

1) do I have to inform cic if I plan to leave the country for 3 months from October to December = will it affect the decision of granting citizenship.

2) my pr card is expiring next may 2020 what happens if I dont get my test invite till then

3) I stayed back 3 yrs away from my husband just to get citizenship and move to USA.. so if I move in October 2019 to USA, would that affect my application being getting refused or abandoned.
4) my travel history is almost 200 days in previous 5 yrs and iys all to USA as I kept visiting my husband.

My only worry is what if I move out of country for more than 4 to 5 months and cic feels I m not planning to reside here after granted citizenship and they cause me rejection or so.

Please advise any thoughts will be highly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi,
If you already stayed at least 1095 days in Canada and you are eligible for Citizenship then it is not important to leave Canada afterwards. because they are processing you submitted application right now it seems next travels won't affect on your eligibility. The only thing may be happen to your Citizenship case is a delay on your side to do requested task like doing finger print and citizenship test. If they ask and you do all requested tasks before October then there won't be any delay at all but if they ask but you can't do whatever they want while you are outside of Canada then they will stop processing your case until you return and provide whatever they want.
About your PR card, I think your case will be done before May 2020 so don't worry about that.
I think nothing will happen and you will get your citizenship when you returned to Canada next year.
At the end I wish you a very happy wedding.

that what happened to me as well. Once i did not receive any "FP" request for couple of weeks since it updated on ECAS, i called CIC and they said that there was an error due to which the request email could not go through (i believe you had the same issue), and that's why it took me almost a month to receive "FP" request after it got updated on ECAS.

Any update after FP request done?

Just saw that my application started processing on July 23. Didn’t know that I need to check that in ECAS, was expecting an email.

Please update in the spreadsheet, thanks!

Called CIC about the status of my FP. They received last week and just looking forward the test invite soon. Fingers crossed. :)

Wow great. Nothing yet. Didn't get test invitation yet. Did you get test invitation before FP request?
I got my status update on ECAS regarding "FP" first and then i got my "Test" email after that, but i receive my official "FP" request email after the Test invitation email. I know its bit confusing, i hope u got it what i mean to write haha

Hello Everyone,

Hope you are doing well. I have read few comments about fingerprints and all but I haven’t received any request or email. Can someone please explain the step by step process?

This is what it says when I checked the process.
  1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on March 15, 2019.
  2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on May 23, 2019.
  3. We started processing your application on July 18, 2019.
Thank you
