Received Fingerprint request for my wife today..please update the spreadsheet.

I didn't see FP request for myself. is it normal to get FP request only for one of the adult applicant?

Yes, it is normal that one adult receives it but the other adult does not. But, if the ECAS status indicates that a FP request is on the way to you, you should wait for that email before going to a FP agent.

You should send yours , because you never know whether they will ask your husband for FP or not. Everyone is not asked.

The agency through which you do FP , they will immediately send it themselves to Police. It is not ink based but electronically.

When I called them, they told me that it takes 10 business days to be processed, however, it took 10 calendar days for me and after 2 weeks I got the test invitation.

I applied for the urgent processing 10 working days back and this is what I have got today.

What documents should we take with us?
Also, do we need to take the kids as well with us as they are part of the family application?

Hi - bring the documents that they requested on the test invite letter. I also printed out my travel history from the US border department but forgot to mention it to the CIC person. They had to check my husband's entries and exits with Canada Border Services as there were a couple of trips that his passport wasn't stamped. I wish I had remembered to mention to the CIC person that I had the US border travel history. Regarding your kids, how old are they? If they are under 14, then technically you don't have to bring them. My son is 13 and he just sat outside the hall when we did the test and the interview. As long as they don't need someone to look after them that should be OK. If they are little then as long as you have someone that can look after them when you are inside the hall you can bring them. But if they are younger than 14 then you can leave them at home if you want.

Hello, please update my details. I got my In Process May 30th. Test invite was 5 July and Test and Interview date was July 23rd. Just waiting on DM and Oath. Fingers crossed it will be soon!

I haven't received test invite or any communication yet.
- Also, is there a way to link Citizenship application to CIC GIC online account?
- Also, updated my mailing address on ECAS. Does CIC sent any communication to physical mail address (that I might have missed?) regarding citizenship application.

I was not asked for finger prints. Is it mandatory? Am I missing something?
Last week I moved to Vancouver for job. However, my Calgary address (mailing address) is the house that I own there and still have family living there. My exam is scheduled in Calgary and today I changed my address in ecas. Please let me know if it will be a big issue.

For all those who get "FP" request, does the request also states that by what date the "FP" procedure has to be done by the applicant ??

I am asking this because i got "FP" request on my ECAS that says "we sent you the correspondence on 8 July.....", Since i have not received the request yet so i am just wondering by the time i finally receive my "FP" request letter i hope it will still be valid and that i will have enough time to do it.

you get 30 days to submit. For my wife's FP, we got the email yesterday and ECAS got updated today. in your case as 23 days are already passed, you should immediately contact them to get the email and also the extension.

You have 30 days to provide your fingerprints.

My suggestion is to call them, ask to send the e-mail again.

This is the exact same response I had ...
You have to wait for another 2-3 weeks to get a feedback from your case processing office.

I have never left Canadian soil since landing and I mentioned that in the application, so I do not think this would be an issue, hopefully.
For the kids, yes, they are below 14 and I have someone to take care of them, I was just wondering if the case officer would ask to see them in person or not. It is better for them to stay at home though, as their mom and I would be nervous due to the fear of the test .
