Ooh, that is really too bad even though you can see other processing centers taking sometimes longer compared to Kitchener office. We pray your file to be processed ASAP in a magic way.

I am ready to apply Canadian Citizenship in this week. My passport is expiring in mid-march 2020, so I have about 7 months before it expires. Should I get it renewed before I apply for citizenship?

Yes, You are right. Thanks for the update but today I got the FR by email as well as they changed online status for same but my husband still didn't get anything. I need to wait for my husband.

Before doing FP you need to wait for the mail , because you need that print out to do FP.

Ottawa, Calgary, Edmonton are comparatively quick. Average time for these is in 200s (maybe around 250 days). For us (Toronto, Mississauga, KW). average time is around 400 days.

You should send yours , because you never know whether they will ask your husband for FP or not. Everyone is not asked.

The agency through which you do FP , they will immediately send it themselves to Police. It is not ink based but electronically.

rohitm15, all we can do is wait. Yes, Toronto/Mississauga may be slow, but, still we should help ourselves be patient. Not everyone is asked for FP.

For all those who get "FP" request, does the request also states that by what date the "FP" procedure has to be done by the applicant ??

I am asking this because i got "FP" request on my ECAS that says "we sent you the correspondence on 8 July.....", Since i have not received the request yet so i am just wondering by the time i finally receive my "FP" request letter i hope it will still be valid and that i will have enough time to do it.

I didn't see FP request for myself. is it normal to get FP request only for one of the adult applicant?
