I got the correspondence update in my ecas on 12th July. didn't receive anything. Called them on 18th July, agent said nothing has been sent so far and sometime ecas updates earlier than actual correspondence is sent. (didn't make sense). I called them again today and agent said correspondence was in fact sent on 12th July and check you spam folder etc. He said it is a fingerprint request and will send an email to the office to resend it. Interestingly, he didn't have a record of my 18th July conversation with the call centre. I think it is what it is. we just have to bear with it.

Just wanted to let you know that I have received test invitation next month and apparently, my file has transferred to "Urgent Processing" as I have requested.

ecas says letter sent July 19
Test date August 27

Please update my record #33 and please make sure to add comment that "Changed to urgent processing".

After applying for urgent processing how much time did they take to get back to you.??? I applied last week but nothing received yet.

I got an update regarding "We sent you a correspondence..." on July 08, When i called the agent about two weeks ago he said that it's a FP request and that i will receive it in a Mail. Since i did not receive any Mail until earlier this Week i called the CIC again last Tuesday, and the CIC agent said that there was something wrong with the system that they tried to sent the FP Mail but unfortunately it did not go through, he said that this time he is going to contact the Calgary office again that they should the request as soon as possible (he said he is not sure if it will be sent by Mail or Email this time). So i believe those who did not receive the FP request yet since their ECAS updated long time ago may be it is a good idea to contact CIC and tell them.

Before doing FP you need to wait for the mail , because you need that print out to do FP.

If I have offer to move to Europe to work do I have rights to ask for urgent processing? Does it matter what kind of job it is and who is employer?

no it doesn't qualify for urgent processing

Hello, Thanks for the update.
After applying for urgent processing how much time did they take to get back to you.??? I applied last week but nothing received yet.

When I called them, they told me that it takes 10 business days to be processed, however, it took 10 calendar days for me and after 2 weeks I got the test invitation.

My father passed away in Saudi Arabia, and I am not able to renew my Syrian Passport as there is no Syrian embassy in Canada.
