I am trying to chk status on ecas using my unique I'd which is an 8 digit number separated by a dash midway. Can an experienced member tell me if I need to put the number with the dash in the ecas? Or do I just input the number.

I think try with just the numbers
You should ideally receive the AOR email from CIC first. The eCAS information shows up few days later

My application was filed through a lawyer and his email is contact email.i am trying to check status as my application was delivered on 1st March .

Yeah that means, either your application isnt opened as yet OR aor email sent to ur lawyer & eCAS will be updated over weekend

Yes ! They do accept IELTS as long as it’s general, they don’t accept academic.
