Not sure if i need to wait for a day or 2 to check the processing time or e-cas status.

I submitted my citizenship application via courier on April 23, 2019. However, last night, I checked the application form and realized that I wasn't able to write the full five years employment. My 5 year eligibility period is April 2014-April 2019. I only wrote from August 2014. Will my application be returned? Is there anything I can do to amend it? I got an email from the courier that it was delivered today.

I think you should post in the Apr forum and see if anyone has had similar experience.
My personal take - send a web inquiry stating you would like to disregard that application (although they will not heed to this).
You could either then wait for June to see if you get an AOR or app returned. Or send another application (without any further mistakes) and send it Mon. Hopefully they should open your second package first and hope for best.
I would suggest you should wait for you confirmation either AOR or application return before you make your move. There are many mixed experiences regarding these misses and it's better to wait and see. It causes confusion at IRCC if you send another application while current one is still present. Let's hope for the best.
I am NOT an expert but this is what I will do.
I will wait until office reply. If they return your application, please re send it after completing fully and if they just ask you for the updating then update it. Again, this is as per my thinking.
