LambanoG, could you please share some details of fingerprint, like, how much money to pay at a police station, whether to take the fingerprint home or it is sent electronically to RCMP by the local office on your behalf, etc?

I don't think he received FP request. I think both options are available. You send it on your own or RCMP send it directly. I have read ppl prefer to send on their own as they can track when the FP were delivered.
