Hey I am new to this forum,
Applied to sponsor my husband on March 4th
in same situation as most of you-haven't heard from them after they asked for my husband's police certificate on April 24, 2019

I was trying to call IRCC today for my application status on (613)-944-4000, but they are not helping with Permanent Resident/Express Entry Applications anymore, the automated system is suggesting to raise a web form. Is there any other number I can use for calling them?
Are you calling them from inside Canada?

Finally the most awaited day has come!!!

I’ve learnt that they are no longer taking calls from outside Canada. You will have to raise a CSE

In-Canada Permanent Residence

AOR on March 10
Medical Passed April 26th
RCMP clearance Request Letter April 26th
Submitted the RCMP Clearance Certificate on June 10th
Submitted Webform to notify address change and change in visa status of Spouse
6 Months deadline passed on September 10th
Called IRCC yesterday and the representative said
"Your application is being delayed because the background verification agencies are taking time to return back with clearance"

Is this scenario normal? Has anybody faced the same delay?

Hello All:

I am looking for input from you folks. When I got a response from Mr. Goodale on the status of my application, I was told that Criminality has passed, Eligibility is met and Security checks have not been initiated.

Exactly, a week later I got a response for my webform question, they said: The responsible officer is currently verifying if your application meets the eligibility requirements. The background verifications are currently in process.

I am confused now because from Mr. Goodale's inquiry, it seems like the agent said Eligibility is Met. I understand that eligibility "Met" and "Passed" are different and that an officer has to do a final review. I am confused by the response I got from the webform because if they are still verifying eligibility requirements, why is Eligibility set to "Met"?

Do you usually get a generic response for the webform and since the Eligibility is not “Passed” they have said it is still being verified?

I am past the 6 month mark so any insight on this from you all will be greatly appreciated? Thanks!
