Iam an Indian living and working in Saudi Arabia from past 10 years..
My status is as below..
Application status: We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.
Review of eligibility: We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.
Review of medical results You passed the medical exam.
Review of additional documents Not applicable.
Interview You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.
Biometrics : Completed.
Background check: We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.
Final decision: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made
Does this mean I'm at the final stage which is the Background check?
How long will this take before I get an email requesting passport? Have I passed eligibility?
What does background check consist of?
Any help in advicing and let me know the approximate time...this would be appreciated.

Work permit extension (new employer)
These applications can be submitted online or by paper.

Working on applications received on January 12, 2019.
It doesn't matter if it's new employer or same employer, extension, spouse work permit, BOWP, all of them share this processing time
It is long way to go. I think you would be at IP 1 stage. For exact details you can get GCMS notes.
The BG status has been the same since AoR for many. We can only guess which stage of the process our applications are in. Only way to ascertain all of it is through GCMS.

Medical passed and received BIL today.

However the VAC office are not accepting online appointments the slots seems to be full. Do you think I can just walk in?
