I haven’t received any update since then, the overseas consultant that I have hired has been of no use for this application, never knew this immigration business would be so money mongering.

I expect a refusal as I have seen no developments in my case and probably will never, was naive to fly back to my home country despite the fact I had a valid study visa.

This era is an epitome of bureaucratic problems and people trying to make money out of the same.
Did you hire consultant from Canada?

I really don’t believe that the delay means refusal and honestly, any lawyer or consultants have no role to play during the process as their main job is to verify the documents and offer advise for something critical

Has anyone had any luck emailing MP Ralph Goodale’s office? I emailed on Monday but haven’t heard back. I’ve found several email addresses in various forums and I’m wondering if the one I used is correct.

Thanks for your reply , hope you'll get your PPR soon.
My AOR is March 6, and I've got a ghost update but not sure when exactly since I don't open my account every day! Best luck for all .
My eligibility is passed and bg check started 4 days ago but no 2nd GU received for it.

How many ghost updates are seen generally before the ppr email? And how much time does it take after the 2nd ghost update to get one?

@jigesh thank you for your reassurance. Yes, I have hired a consultant from Canada and I know the fact they cannot “guarantee” you a visa, my only concern is, if they are a member of some fraternity that is reputed and they constantly flex about it, they can use that power to find out the whereabouts of the application.

I presume IRCC treats them in a different way than the general public

You can send it anytime. If keep on waiting ,you will surely get a rejection.Send them immediately.

Dont expect them to contact you .Its your fault. You should have checked the requirements before submitting the letter.Every thing is available on Cic website.

Duties section is the lifeline of the letter.
On the basis of your duties ,IRCC gives the points .
Also ensure that duties are not cut paste from the NoC ,and your letter covers atleast 70 percent of them.
Means if 10 duties mentioned in the NOC,atleast 7 should be there in your letter and that too not copied.

Make sure the new letter has all the details mentioned in work experience section -

Good luck

Its too early man .
Your 6 months processing starts right after the completeness check that is R10,which is around you medical exam passed date .
I guess you passed your medical exam in April so take 6 months from there that is October .

I am not demotivating you just saying what is mentioned on Cic website.

If you see the February timeline , applicants having PPR in 5.5/5 months after medical pass date which is as per IRCC time line.(within 6 months)

Also,do you have an access to your profile ?

Usually 2 GUs.

I read somewhere that after 2 GUs you can submit a webform to confirm what the GUs meant.

Hi James,

according to CIC website (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=068&top=3) processing starts from the day we submitted the application online i.e AOR date.
Can you share the link that says it starts from R10 check?

Thank you

Find out this para “The Express Entry six-month processing standard begins when an application is assessed as complete and is promoted in the Global Case Management System (GCMS). It ends when Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) makes a final decision on the application.”

I am confused that if the deadline start after R10 then why don’t put that as the deadline instead of 6 months from the aor? Any logic for that? The same thing would confirm by the agent over the phone, so does it mean they write something else and follow something else? I can’t find a logical reason of it

@JamesRodriguez

oh snap! I honestly didn’t knew about this, I always thought the entire 6 month escapades begins right from the moment you get your AOR. Thanks so much for the input.

Also, I have no access to my application whatsoever, the consultant made a different gmail id under my name to get updates. Once, at the very beginning of my application, I tried linking my application to my personal gmail and all hell broke lose on me, he threatened to “withdraw his services” from my application and will not be responsible if IRCC thinks that linking the application to my account is forgery. Since then I just “begged and borrowed” information from him.
