Hi ,
My AOR is :March 6 , 2019
I've received a response yesterday from Mr Ralph saying that eligibility and security have not been initiated . Is it normal after 6 months from AOR ? Anyone has the same stats ?

Hello All:

I've been reading this thread for the past few weeks but on September 2, 2019 I passed my 6 month mark. I emailed Minister Goodale yesterday and received the following update on my FSW Express Entry application.

Criminality Passed
Eligibility is met
Security checks have not been initiated. They cannot be expedited and timelines are not available.
Application is at CIO-Sydney

A few more details of my application:
Application received: March 2, 2019
Medical Results Review: Completed on April 16,2019
Biometrics: Completed on May 1,2019
I have no dependents. I am a single applicant living in the US.

My questions:
1) Any insight on how long it could take for my security checks to start?
2) Is it bad that my application is still at the Intake Office in Sydney, Nova Scotia and not at a CPC?
3) What exactly is Eligibility Met? Should it be Eligibility Passed?

Will really appreciate it if anyone can shed more light on my application status. Thanks in advance!

From what I could gather in these forums, Eligibility Met means that the agent reviewing your case has verified your CRS parameters. I think the officer will review and make it Eligibility Passed. Mine is in Eligibility Met too and I am an applicant from US with Mar 28 AOR. Seems like its taking more than 6 months for quite a few US resident applicants.

Hi everyone

I’m a daily lurker and with my 6 months coming soon I figured I’d comment.

My husband is the primary applicant for FSW-O.
Nationality: South Africa
AOR 16 March 2019
Medicals passed: 1 May
Biometrics: 2 May
Ghost update: 2 May

Hoping that there isn’t any backlogs and that we all get some good news soon.
Fellow Saffas here, also waiting. Any idea where your application is being processed?
Our details:
AOR 9 March
Med Pass 24 April
Biometrics 1 May
Ghost update in May and then nothing
VO Ottawa

Call to IRCC a few weeks ago resulted in the usual "eligibility and security not started"

Yes spoke to the ircc agent.eligibility passed and security not yet started.
Uhh that means your PPR is definitely coming soon, since the eligibility is the biggest aspect, the rest can be fine. About security, it can take from a few hours to years, and depends heavily upon Country, Religion and Criminal history. However, if your name won't popup in the basic database search, it will be cleared in few hours. so I am confident, either tomorrow or on Monday or on Tuesday, you will have your PPR.

Think the number has changed. You can't call them anymore from outside Canada. The call automatically cuts off after the message ends
