Wait for test invite.
How long it takes to wait for test invite ? Does it depends from anything? Will I be able to choose the place and date/time of the test, or they will choose it for me? I ordered the book Discover Canada to prepare for Citizenship exam.

The time until the test is unpredictable at this point. A vague idea can be formed based on the information volunteers on the forum here have gathered into a spreadsheet. Note that the information in the spreadsheet is based on a limited number of data points, and there is much in flux in the aftermath of the C6 changes.

(There are many people on the forum stressing about the exact timing of each step in the application process. There is nothing to be gained by that, as the process is out of your control. The only time your actions have an impact is if you're asked to send documents, and when you're invited to write the test. So, really, if you can: just sit back and relax. Read "Discover Canada". Go for a walk. Watch TV. The invitation will show up in due time.)

No, you cannot choose the test location or its date/time. Your local IRCC office will send you an invitation that tells you when and where you are expected to appear. If you cannot make it you must contact IRCC to explain why, so they can reschedule your appointment. If you'll be travelling for more than two weeks you should let them know (easiest to do so using the web form). The invitation may arrive by either letter or email, at least two weeks before the appointment date. Which kind of invitation you receive depends on your local office's procedures.

You can also read the book online, download a digital version, or listen to and download an audio edition of the guide.
