Hi, I just talked to the agent today. She mentioned that my eligibility is still under review (AOR March 25) and still in Sydney office because duties/ responsibilities are not mentioned in the employment letter. She couldn't specify which particular job as I worked primarily for 2 companies.

Although I can ask for a letter from my current company, there is no way that I can generate a letter from the last company. That job was in India and it has been more than 5 years.

Any suggestions of any workaround?

Hi I am in the same situation. They said the same thing about my old job. They did not send me an "Additional Document Required" request, but the agent said they were not able to determine the duties I performed. Immediately after the call I uploaded a performance review that was done for that role in my old job and an email that showed I had requested a reference letter from the company. I am now trying to get the letter from my company's HR which is taking a long time. I am not sure how long this will take... But please let me know if there is any progress on your side...

How are they so dumb to never ask for an explanation or supporting documents in such cases? It's like a monkey trying to learn algebra

That is exactly what I dont understand.... If I hadnt called, or if I believed "Everything with your application is fine" I would never have known... Unless I ordered GCMS notes which takes a good 30-45 days...
 
The impact of being told "Eligibility not met because we were unable to determine your duties" started with panic followed by a fear that my application can get rejected... To elevate the stress levels, they give no further information of whether I will be given a chance to submit supporting documents... I was told by an agent "As long as your application is being processed, you can submit any document you want. Once it is rejected, those documents will have no value". When asked, if they can give me a few days to get the supporting documents, I was greeted with "Yea sure, as long as your application has Processing status". So right now I am just this blind person who has no visibility of where the application is headed, but continues the game of guesswork.

I had several job titles, so it will probably need to be reviewed. Account Executive, Product Manager, Marketing, Content Manager, E-Media Marketing Specialist.

titles are not important btw, all job duties should match to NOC code. It doesn't have to be same for sure. It is also not possible then it might seem like a fake letter. CIC's job duties are very out of date but I tried to include keywords in the letters.

Well, some of codes has many applicants, Marketing, is one of the major area that people would apply. No need to be an expert to find it out. It is close to a fact.

Unfortunately no action till now. I sent a couple of CSE and direct mails to CPC Ottawa, but no reaction from them. I called, and the Agent told me that they cannot do anything since my application was updated with my new passport data a couple of weeks ago, and that is considered as action on the file, and means that the file has not been forgotten. Last Thursday when I called, It was still eligibility recommended pass, with criminality and Security not started. I hope they will start them one day. I will call again today to see if there is any change, since their system was down Yesterday.

Hey I was asked to submit an additional family info form and also provide and explanation for the POF since they were given by my parents . So have submitted these two yesterday n now waiting .

Did you just submit it through webform? or did you get a ADR request?

Not really. Just was unlucky to get the Montreal VO which is slower than slow. I called them yesterday and they said eligibility was processing and background check had not started. Only medicals passed.
And today PPR. lol.
