Got this overwhelming response for the CSE raised on Aug 15th. My doubt is, if they are to send canned response to most applications then my not automate it and send it the same day? Does it take 3 weeks to think and type this mail?

Current Status - IP1, 6 more days to hit 6 months on R10 (IP1). FSW-O, VO - Sydney.
Over 6 months for me. Same cookie response everytime over the call, no response to emails, standard response to CSE. I seriously doubt the working culture and processes in CANADA esp at IRCC. They are really worst. Europe is far better in processing visas

Hey I just called cic and the agent told me that my eligibility needs review. So I asked her what can I do in this case? Do I need to send any additional document? She said no right now they are reviewing your documents that whether you meet their eligibility criteria. Now what should I do in this case?

Going by the trend on immitracker and this forum, I havent seen these many applications waiting in IP1 over 6 months AOR. There are ppl waiting for PPR over an year, but mostly they are in SS. So I am pretty sure there must be a PPR shower later this month and put this thread to sleep.
Hi, i haven’t been able to reply that message, i keep getting an error message.

I had been in IP1 for over 5 months so I decided to order GCMS notes. The same day I ordered them, i noticed in my account that my background check had started. Coincidence? I dont know...
I am not sure which is my visa office and I dont know when is my R10, but i have a feeling that it could be much later than march, coz I uploaded the last requested document only in mid june.

Aor -6th match
Vo- Ottawa
Status - ip2
Same AOR, Same status and probably same VO (around April, not sure where it is now). Actually, i dont think there is anything much you can do. As "eligibility review" is quite generic and one cannot really establish where.... educational, professional, criminal ?.... one can never know and usually the agents will never be specific. Plus, this month generally have been very dry in terms of PPR.... I wish you and myself a speedy PPR

Do you know anyone who was under review required and finally got PPR?
To me it sounds just the way it is.."review required".... they just need to review it again and if necessary request for additional information. It will be really disheartening for someone to be refused after waiting 6month. although, it can be delayed which is also frustrating..

I'll be reaching 180 days since AOR this weekend, still in IP2 after one month. When I submitted the application my plan was to receive PPR in 4, 5 months max and then do the landing in November just in time for my wedding anniversary.

This way I could become a permanent resident and at the same time do some tourism with my wife in Canada, before returning home to start organizing everything for the final move.

Since November is so close now and thanks to IRCC and its pathetic system I'm going to have to take my money somewhere else.

Hi All,

Once again looking for applicants who have applications in Montreal VO. If your application is stuck in IP1 and if agent has told you that your eligibility is not complete yet ... Do confirm your visa office ... Your file is likely in Montreal. Please join rest of us here

https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/montreal-visa-office-lets-connect-here.575300/page-13

If you have ordered GCMS notes and know you are from Montreal office do share your experiences. And if you are a lucky candidate who has received a PPR from Montreal please do come and share your experience as well. Thank you!

Hope next week is better for everyone!

Anyone please guide:

My COPR expiry date is January 19, 2019 whereas my passport expiry date is March 17, 2019 and I am planning to reach Canada on December 27, 2018. I have following 3 questions in this regard:

1. Does the 6-month validity rule of passport apply on immigrant visas as well?

2. Do I need to renew my passport before travelling?

3. COPR mentions my existing passport number, will a renewed passport mean a deviation that could cause a problem at point of entry in Canada?

you can land anytime before the expiry of the im-1 visa. if you do get a new passport carry both old and new. visa in old passport will still be valid.
