I don't understand why it's taking so long... the next due date we had in GCMS notes was July 14th... but no change up to now. Can it be backlog? But so many people got their PPRs in less than 90 days.... this wait is killing us!

Then you have to submit your passport to the VO mentioned in the PPR letter via VFS.

I've seen on the CIC site that there may be a longer wait time as of May 31, 2018 due to the increase in requests. Also I've seen other people with longer wait times on this forum.

I hope you get them soon.

Call them up and speak to the Client Support Center agents.. ask them questions such as:
-Eligibility completed? - Pass or otherwise
-Criminality completed? - Pass or otherwise
- Status of Background check and security

you will require your Application# and maybe your UCI#

Telephone: 1-888-242-2100 (in Canada only)

• Automated telephone service (available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week)
  If you have a touch-tone telephone, you can listen to pre-recorded information about our programs, and check the status of your application.
• Client Support Centre agents - Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., your local time, except for statutory holidays. Services are available in French and English.

Thank for the info. I called and they say its under process thats it.

Hi all, I just called the call center and the agent informed me that my application is being processed in Ottawa VO and that I have passed the eligibility and there is only one step left in the background check which is the additional document that they have requested for last week. He informed me that I should likely be getting the PPR once they have reviewed the document.

Hi all,
I just got my PPR! I submitted the additional documents they had requested for on Monday, today I called CIC to check the status and I got the PPR email at 7:40pm EST. That was quick! All the best to everyone still waiting!

Going to the VFS this afternoon to collect me Passport and the CoPR. It was ready for collection since 16 July and they didn't bother to call or send me a text even though I subscribed for the text service.
