Hi all, how long to we have to complete biometrics once we receive the request? For example, if I get the biometric request on Aug 1, can I schedule an appointment for Sept 1 or is there a time limit (example, 10 days after getting a request, etc). Thanks!

Yes and yes. If you have a confirmed travel date and tickets, you can apply to fast track your passport application - comes with additional cost though.

Takes about 2 weeks after oath to get the citizenship certificate. Once you get the certificate, you can apply for the passport separately ($160 for a 10 year passport).

Wife had her interview on May 9th, tracker updated to LPP complete on May 11th, expecting the interview invite to come soon. Looks like SCR office is now in a rush!

No. However, she submitted her application initially while she was outside Canada and we suspect that's the reason for the interview.

My wife was scheduled for an interview on the 25th of April, which was canceled due to the strike. She's now been rescheduled for May 9th (We were expecting a longer delay). SCR office. LPP pending.

Update - I received my certificate yesterday! Exactly 2 weeks after the ceremony.

Congrats! I had my ceremony on the 6th of April but my status on the tracker hasn't changed. Curios - what did you fill in the subject line of the email when you sent back the oath form? The written instruction say one thing but the IRCC person that checked my ID etc on zoom asked to include her...

Sorry everyone looks like I was mistaken. She is scheduled for an interview on April 25th, not the ceremony. I guess it makes sense since LPP is still pending. Sorry again.
