I really hope that is a rare case, because I was also told that my eligibility passed the other day.

Eligibility check pass, does not always guarantee the PPR imho. BGC and security check play qually a major factor

That's true. I was mentioning purely on having clean background only. One can fairly know what their background is like. Being from a war-torn country can also play its part.

Why would you do that? Why go with both when you already have a direct ITA? Just curious!

You will be surprised. I have seen so many examples such as living in a particular country on a visit visa between 3-6 months without any work this does not absolutely mean that you have done anything wrong while you stayed there but authorities here wonder should this individual live in another country without any sufficient activity e.g. studying or temporary working...

As soon as I logged in I noticed visual difference in text, "Application Updated". Inside I saw the BGC moved from IP1 to IP2. I was so thrilled, still am. My guess is that my application was stuck and as soon as I ordered the notes, it triggered the auto-update, I don't know. If my eligibility is passed, I am more than happy to wait 3 more months for the PPR.
