That’s a looooong wait.

Yup. I think when you hit the 12 month mark, your anxiety reaches a climax. Then strangely after that my anxiety dropped off. I don't know if it was because shortly afterwards, we heard about the interview and also a bunch of things also happened in my personal life that diverted my attention from this. Anyways, as I am going to attend the interview with my partner, I now feel a sense that this process is going to have some finality, in that we will have a decision made on the 19th of March, regardless of whether it's positive or negative. Still, it might be a few months (hopefully before May as my partner's medical results are going to expire again) before we are totally done with this whole process, should my partner pass the interview.

I think the immigration probably forget our March applicants. They won’t care how much pressure, frustrating, depression we have been through!! I can’t stop crying everyday even though I’m pregnant right now. I can’t take it anymore seriously.

I believe you are right. March applicant too.....nothing but delays and heartache!

Wow, sorry you have had to wait so long. I thought it was bad that we had to wait 3 months to hear something, but you have been waiting 6 months now? I will post what questions they asked him next month, if it helps anyone.

Good luck for your partner with interview
wishing everything goes easy
we are waiting the feedback ;)

no time for completion :( thats not assuring at all... so the 12 months time frame is not for everyone i guess.

It's very depressing to hv no time frame for completion the application :(
12 month from the date of submission will be done after two weeks from now...
I do not know if there are any other way to speed up the processing
they hvn't started security and criminality check
and even my medical has expired

@aladaw
the MP replied next day we sent him the inquiry
but first he will send you 2 sheets one of them is a consent that you hv to sign and scan it and it back to him in order to be able to inquire on behalf of u and ur spouse.
We also made a web form inquiry .. and after we done it .. there was an automated msg appeared saying that ur message has been sent and we'll reply after 28 days ..AND IF YOUR APPLICATION IN THE NORMAL PROCESSING TIME .. WE'LL NOT REPLY :)

Ah yea the consent form makes sense, and did they reply after 28 days or did you not get there yet?

Hi everyone, just came across this forum today. I am the sponsor for my hubby, sent in my application March 2017...hubby had the interview back in November 2017, and they took his passport, but still no update :(. Does KVO normally ask for a prepaid courier coupon to be sent rather than having person pick up their documents?

no updates and no passport for 4 months now? thats a little strange.

Yea that's what I'm thinking...nothing since Nov, they sent a "prearrival service'' a day after the interview, and then nothing since. But now they asking for a "prepaid courier coupon" to be sent in...don't know what to expect now

My MP is usually quite prompt in getting back to us. Usually within 4 or 5 business days after they receive my email they email me back with a response about our status update. I sent in an email directly to the VO (I had corresponded to them directly an email address there before) and through IRCC webform too. We did get a reply from the VO after several days after we hit the 12 month mark, but they only answered one of our questions about still being in queue for an interview at that point but didn't provide a status update.

Thanks, I sure hope March 19 is our lucky day. We feel numb about this whole process now ... we are almost at 13 months now. Even if we pass the interview, it will be a miracle if get done before 15 months.

so the MP agreed to get notes for you and you didn't hit 12 months yet?

Yes he did.. but he got no new info. more than what's mentioned in our notes
I guessed he'll make a recommendation to fasten the process but nothing of my dreams came true
