hello everyone,
I'm march applicant , and i'm being sponsored by my husband to come live in canada. Do you think they will ask me for the equivalence of my diplomas of studies ? or they don't need that.

same here for me !! i think something is blocking the file in the ambassy back home , because for my case i'm still waiting for a police certificate of another country where i was living for one year

Hmmm its so frustrating when they dont do it anything

My husband's visa office is ndvo.
His application was received on march 3. AOR2 was on june 23. And nothing after that. But when I listen to CIC's automated messages regarding his file. It says they need more documents to proceed but neither me nor my representative received any email from Delhi.. so I called CIC and the agent said the file is in the Delhi and CIC doesn't want anything. So I don't know what is happening. His background check has not started yet. I don't know what to do. I am so worried.

but on ECAS IT SAYS "DECISION MADE"
and on GC KEY account "BACKGROUND IS IN PROGRESS"

so kind of confused.

I always log into the Canada Immigration website, (which takes ages to actually get into), to check my status....I feel like I'm missing something.....What and where do you check this ECAS? Is this another place where you can check your status????

I finally got our lawyers to link on Friday, lol, March 1 applicants. Our BGC is in progress but I have no idea how long it's been that way so

No way to know, I guess, just depends on officer, etc. In any case like I said I have no insight into how long mine's been like that, so who knows!

Seems like it happens for some relatively quick and others take a very long time

But if yours is in progress for 2 days and then you get DM as opposed to someone who has it in progress for 2 months does it really matter? All relative. It was interesting to see mycic but I don't trust it all that much, I just realize on ecas.

Hi I submitted spousal sponsorship application at Mississauga in March 2017 ...file is at newdelhi now ..
Anyone with similar situation?

Just updating with our situation. We are March 31st applicants. Our VO will now be Mississauga. I got medical request on Sept 2nd and had them completed on Sept 22nd. It now says medicals passed on CIC. ECAS has never had any updates since line 1. Background check started and CIC requested a letter of proof that the sponsor intended to live in Canada on Sept 28th. Immediately responded with proof (already living in Canada actually). Nothing since.
Hopefully we are at the end. This is a damn long wait. Would be nice to know we can stay here in Canada now that we have moved over on tourist visas
