Any applicant faced situations when you dont have birth certificate and never got one as it was not mandatory before 1989. I submitted all supporting documents for dob like 1st class certificate, 10 th certificate, pan card, adhar card, voter card, driving licence, school leaving certificate, affidavit from myself and mother confirming dob. Anyone faced similar situations?
Cic accepted the application before and asked to link birth certificate again on gc key..
Ndvo applicants only

Hi everyone,
A question popped in my mind.
I was asked to submit some additional docs back in June. And the deadline to submit those docs was August 4th. I submitted all of them on 11th June. Seems like they haven't looked at them yet.
Do you think they will wait until the deadline and process the file after 4th August.
Because that could explain my bgc's being "not appilicable".
What do yo think?

Hi! There's a video in the cic website where the guy explains that you should send a complete application because if there's one doc missing they will send you a request and not look into it until the deadline ! I don't have the link right here but you can look there.. is one of those premiado videos in which they give you tips before sending the application

Congratulations!! I wish the best for you.

may I ask if your sponsor was a Quebec resident, because I've heard applying for CSQ may add a little to the timeline
Also I like to know if sending Medical and PCC upfront would help in speeding up the process?

would be nice if others who have any experience in this comment here too.
Thanks to all

Hello! I sent my pcc upfront but they asked me for it again ..

Thanks.
No, my sponsor was not a Quebec resident; But what you have heard is true.
For new applications ( after December 2016 ) applicants are not allowed to send Medical upfront. The PCC can be upfront though.

I am a Quebec Resident. Applying for CSQ actually doesn't add to the timeline.

Be ready and fill in all needed form from Quebec Ministry of Immigration to apply for CSQ and supporting documents, Once you receive your AOR2 (transfer to VO) you can submit your application to CSQ.

MiDi is committing to process the Spousal CSQ application to 25 Days. We just received my Wife's CSQ yesterday and the whole process took less than a month. We are still in process of PR though.

Hopes this helps.

Oh, thanks for your insight.
I guess my application was "okay" and that's why i have got AOR1 and AOR2 as well and it is in process. If I had any problems with the application being complete, I wouldn't have any of these. Any applicant could be asked for additional documents, which is completely differs from one applicant to another. So my question was about the additional documents, not the application package itself.

I'm in a similar boat. I haven't heard anything from them. My GCKey says that my action is required, but no messages or emails to tell me what I need to do. I've tried calling, but I always get the "volume of calls is too high" message. I have no idea what to do. I've gone ahead and had the medical check done, and have sent them my Schedule A and Police Certificates. But no progress...it's pretty frustrating.

My husband and I are relocating to Canada in a month. Did you have any trouble at immigration because you had already started the permanent residency process as an outland applicant?

Good luck!! Keep ringing. I had luck yesterday calling right at the end of the day, but I usually get that call volume message as well.

Our landing was fairly straightforward but I was so nervous about it! I had my letter of employment, sponsorship approval letter and proof of private insurance for 6 months ready to show them. We got pulled aside to a secondary interview area because we had said on our customs paperwork that we would be staying for approx 6 months. The agent just seemed really confused when I explained the situation about my husband and son "visiting" but also hopefully getting PR while visiting. She called over her supervisor who was super nice and totally fine with it. He just said "just be sure to leave the country when you are legally required if nothing is sorted yet". Once we get the 'in progress' statement on ECAS, we have implied status and they won't need to leave, but it also means my husband can start the process of getting a drivers license and medical cover in BC.

Anyone applying from Beirut?

I got decision made on same day as yours and got the PPR today. Also GCKEY is asking to upload passport copies again (multiple files) for principal applicant and dependent children. Did you get PPR yet?
Congratulations! What is your timeline?

Mine is like this:

Permanent Residence

  1. We received your application for permanent residence on March 15, 2017.
  2. We sent you correspondence on March 30, 2017. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.
  3. Medical results have been received.
Until now july 27, my ecas shows application received. I called and the callcenter agent just read what is shown in my ecas. What to do :(
