Could you guys please give me some information?
I sponsored my wife from India no dependants and I am Canadian citizen. My file was received on march24 and sponsor approval on April6 2017, medical was done on April 24 and updated on ecas that medical was received in april31. I got no updates after that. PR application is showing received in ecas. I am so stressed as it has been couple of months and no confirmation of file transfer to New Delhi. Please let me know what should I do at this point?

Call them up, we are March 24 applicants too and our file has been transferred to Delhi.

Whenever I check the status of my application via phone, it says "The review of your background check has not started yet". Does this mean that the background check hasn't started yet?

I am also March 24 applicant too and my file is also transfered to lvo.

It's like they decided to temporarily stop processing a batch of random applications so that they can work through another set and get them out of the way first. There are so many of us stuck in Mississauga! I myself have not heard anything for exactly 2 months now since schedule A was attached to our file back in April. It's so frustrating!

Yeah totally agree. What is more frustrating is to see those applications which were received after yours are got transferred with no problem....thats a strange back log. I just hope that they do actually work on the applications in Mississauga otherwise I dont get what prevents them to send them to dedicated VOs.

Hi, if my husband(sponsor) has a child with his ex girlfriend (not common-law) Do I (principal applicant) have to declare the child my step child in the Addional Family Information form? Thanks in advance

It's weird, there seems to be a trend here for sure, and particularly with a lot of cases meant to go to Ottawa. What country are you applying from? I wonder if they're holding them because Ottawa got slammed

Ours should be Ottawa since from the US.

Yes I knew you were a US app so I think that would make sense. It seems annoying, because I am March applicant and we got sent to VO, but we got London VO (slooooow) so realistically yours could go to Ottawa and then get DM in a matter of a month or something super fast, you know? They are doing more of the processing at CPC M now anyways.

We have a similar timeline too. March 24 received, SA March 14, In process May 5, AOR2 May 24, PPR June 13.
