Hello to everyone on this forum!
I am from Russia and we got married with my Canadian husband in December 2015. :P
We have submitted our sponsorship application on 17th of March and it reached cic on 23th of March. We got AOR1 on 13th of May, AOR2 on 25th of May and they have started processing prp application on 19th of May.
Yesterday we have received the document request that I need to pay application fee and provide 2 police background checks from Denmark and Norway. I already have Danish police background check and it's not a big deal to pay, but I have to order Norwegian police background check and I'm wondering if it is possible to submit it electronically once it's done?? ???
I also wanted to ask how much time did it take for you to get DM after getting document request?
Thank u so much for ur help :)
It is so hard to stay on distance with my husband.... I really hope to get it whithin 2 months or maybe less if we r lucky :)

Okay some good news here, Manila visa office has emailed my wife (applicant) yesterday to notify us that they already have her application and that it is in process. They also asked for a copy of the receipt of the Permanent Residence Fee. We immediately emailed them back together with the receipt and they emailed back saying that they put the file in their database.

I am very happy to hear from them and saw progress.

What should I expect next? Medical?

Matryoshka welcome to the forum~

Police background checks will slow the process down. So your priority is to get those to police background check done ASAP and send it to them by mail. I don't think they police will offer it in an electronic format as there are chances one could alter it. As it will take time for them to send you via mail so do it quickly so you can cut the time short. I can't give you a time frame as it depends on what other request may come.

I hope you've already done medical upfront as that is usually the last thing they will check. If you haven't then expect a request down the line as well.

Good luck.

Hey guys looks like they did ask for passport after 11 may...march applicants are going so quiet? Any news

I called in today and was told "pending". have you tried to call?

Update: An idea of processing times when an application is delayed by a month...

My application was received 23rd March
I had a request for an additional document which I sent immediately (end of April)
They apparently began to process my application 2nd May
I got an email from them yesterday confirming I can sponsor my husband (3rd June) - and his application is now in our local VO.

yai!

Hi everyone,

I woke up this morning to see Decision Made! I check every day - but was surprised to see it updated Saturday.

Here's my info:
Ottawa Visa Office
Sent application 3/15/2016
SA 4/21/2016
AOR 2 / Doc request 4/27/2016
Submitted requested doc (FBI clearance) 5/21/2016
DM 6/4/2016
To everyone still waiting, I know this is frustrating (went through a long wait when we immigrated husband to the US). Know that it will happen for you, and I hope soon.

Good luck to all!

Hi there, thats good news, they emailed my Husband as well last Friday and told us that he's eligible to sponsor me, and my documents are in Manila VO. Anyways, What i did was I took my upfront Medical last October so they didn't ask for it, if you haven't have it yet, I'm pretty sure they're going to ask for request of it or if you have it already, I guess it's time for us to wait for either interview or Passport request :D

Do you think an upfront criminal check would also speed up the process.

Any time they have to request documents from you (including PCCs) it can delay your application.

if they request your PCC in your checklist, ps: regional difference... checklist is different. also you need to check cic site and see what they say on your specific country.

Thanks Yijiequ. My husband could not get through at all. Since he will be travelling this Monday and Tuesday, we can try again on Wednesday.

Good luck my friend! It shall be well!

Hello everyone,

I hope you are all well and have begun the week on a positive note.
Please to the administrator(s) or the 2016 outland excel "maintainers".....please could we have the applicant list sorted date-wise (ascending). This sorting via VO is so confusing to some of us. Or i wonder whether i am the only one finding the worksheet boring. ;)

Regards,

HC
