Inshallah! When they said sponsor is complete; that means you are approved.. pretty sure.
dont worry too much. look at my timeline and i talked to a MP assistance by phone too; i didnt even get that far. only told that me, as a sponsor is still under review/processing. no update.

So I finally heard from our MP. To recap our timeline is:

Sponsor side:
Application received: March 10th
AOR1: April 5th
Started Processing: April 4th

PA side says:
Application received: March 10th
Started Processing: May 19th

We have had no letter or communication about SA to date, only received AOR1 through email on sponsor side.

Our MP had this to say:

"We have received a response from IRCC, please see below.

They were able to confirm that your assessment as a sponsor was completed on May 12, 2016. They have not begun your husband’s assessment yet but they were able to clarify that the current timeline for processing this type of application is 17 months.

We understand that the length of time to process this application is not good news to receive given the separation between you and your husband, but we hope you find the information helpful. If you should require any further assistance with this matter or any other, please do not hesitate to contact our office again. If you would like our office to follow up with IRCC on the progress of the application in three months’ time, please let us know after August 30, 2016 and we will make an enquiry at that time."

I am panicking that it doesn't say "you were approved as a sponsor on May 12th", rather it just suggests I was assessed. I am very stressed and can never get any direct answer from my phone calls which makes me worry that somehow I was not approved. Can anyone clarify this?

yes.. you have past SA and they are working on it at the local visa office.

The only reason why I am asking is because, I received in the mail saying you have been approved as a sponsor and the file has been forward to the visa office in ROME.

the date on this letter was May 13,2016 so by the time it gets mailed to Rome the processing was supposed to start later

and on the applicants side (ECAS) it said we started processing on the above date May 13.

SO im kind of confused, about it.

When I called CIC a month ago to find out about my SA they said I was already approved in May 3rd.

I think their answer is very direct, the assessment is completed meaning SA is approved. The PA won't start if you are not approve so rest assure that everything is going well.

alb01, You should follow what on paper or on the ECAS. It may as well been approved on the May 3rd but what is on paper is something you hold against them if needed. So take the phone calls with grain of salt.

Im so happy, i got letter from Immigration yesterday, asking for my passaport.
I more excited because we dont need to have the interview.
Hope to have the passaport back soon.

Congratulations. This is super fast. I noticed that some April applicants are getting DM. Hopefully, ours to has a speedy processing. CIC is doing a good job so far.

Dont worry hammycapry, CIC is inconsistent, I never received AOR2 from NDVO but has PR side processing and with 3 lines. Plus, ECAS isnt updated as often so it will show up in the next 5-7 days in ECAS.
