How many people from March besides yijiequ are still waiting for SA? A lot of us in April are at 53 days, including myself.

Me too. Today we are at 81 days.

Any DMs/PPRs today (May 30) for 2016 applicants?

We are at 69 days today. It wouldn't be so frustrating if I could at least log on to ECAS as myself (the sponsor) and see SOMETHING. My husband's side just says Application Received.

Question, would his ECAS show SA or only mine?

Are you the sponsor? if they haven't send you anything that shows you your application # or UCI, did you try log in using your receipt number?

If you log in with the Application #, you can view both the Sponsor application and PR application status.

Yes I am the sponsor. I've tried everything to log in. My UCI number and my application number (both were on the email CIC sent me telling me they received my application).

I hadn't thought of the receipt number so I just tried it now and nothing. Thank you for the suggestion. I'll keep trying with all 3 numbers.

I am the sponsor and I have used my own UCI, which some people might not have them.. i came to Canada as a student 15 years ago. that UCI was still the same. maybe even tried citizenship card number from your sponsor or receipt number?

The application number is the number you want to use because it will show both Sponsor and Pr application status. I find it kind of weird that it is not working for you, are you typing in your last name, date of birth correctly? If that doesn't work, give your husband's name, DOB and country of birth a try. You and your husband will have your own specific UCIs so beware of that.

If your husband's application is received, you can assume the application for the sponsor is there as well. It's the same for both application. If your husband's PR status changed to IN Process, you can assume that your Sponsor application has been approved.

Sometimes there's hiccups, don't worry to much. Give them a call and good luck!

If the person you are sponsoring did not do a medical upfront, expect a request for it. You can also expect anything that you may have missed in the application, or extra paper work for various reasons. Good luck!

Hi, thank you for replying. How will they contact us (me the sponsor and my wife the applicant) for medical upfront or other requests? Through me or will they email my wife directly?

If you provide them with email (assuming this is your wife's email), they will email your wife because she is the applicant that needs to do the exam. But if you provide info stating you as representative for her, they will email anything that is needed from the applicant, your wife. If no email is provided, expect mail to come in but this might take time depending on location and how busy they are.

Because medical check is urgent, they would email a pdf to you Medical Examination Instructions. The pdf will have a sheet call CLIENT BIODATA AND SUMMARY, that contains all your wife's info (UCI, application #) plus a unique IME number. Hence you should wait for the request now before doing anything before hand.

May I ask which office is working on your wife's PR application? Hope my answers helps.

Hi AarCee, I intend to help fill in for you, but someone else has done already :)

Hello Huyenvu,

Thanks to you and everyone in this forum. And thanks to whoever filled in the spreadsheet for me. My wife logged onto her Ecas this morning and this is what she saw:

Permanent Residence
We received your application for permanent residence on March 4, 2016.
We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on May 25, 2016.
We started processing your application on May 24, 2016.
Medical results have been received.

Just a question, should she go ahead and do her police clearance or should she wait for them to request for it.

I can't wait for any further delays so just want to know if its a good idea for her to get it done.

I just hope a miracle happens and all those waiting to reunite with their spouses happen overnight.

Regards
AarCee.

AarCee,

The application takes times, it the same for everyone. Some cases are faster, some take longer so hang in there.

I am not sure what country your spouse is from, the application manual didn't say that you should include it with the PR application before hand? If you know they are going to request it, I suggest have it ready when CIC request it so you can speed things up.
