When did you do the enquiry? Where are you located?
How much time did the MP office ask to provide any information?

I am located in Nanaimo, B.C... I went to the MP office this morning. The staff told me one of the case workers will do an inquiry for me. according to him, usually a few days with an answer. I had to sign a consent form with the file number. then they will email or call me.

Yes, I hope so. I called IRCC an hour ago and the agent told me that emails regarding SA are sent out in batches every two weeks and that I should expect something in the next batch, which is May 27th. I hope this turns out to be true, although it is a long wait.

Good for you! You have nothing to lose by applying for a visitor visa. There is a thread somewhere on the forum about a visitor visa that was approved and listed all she did to get that approval! You should read through that and make the app as thorough as possible, show return ticket etc..

I'm sure your SA is on the way or you might already have it! I have DM and the sponsor side still shows in process so it seems the SA side is unreliable and not updated as it should be. Good luck!!

you buy a refundable 2-way ticket. If she doesn't get approved cancel ticket and you get your money back.

I am going to guess person is Australian. OP was informed that file was sent to Sydney, NS but might as well be Sydney, Australia.

Maybe, OP can himself/herself confirm it.

Yes Im Australian.

Sent Application to Ontario
It got Transferred to Nova Scotia
Then received email saying COPR has been issued. This email came from Canadian Consulate in Sydney Australia

Still haven't received actual COPR, just an email saying its been issued...

I am at 68 days now. Still no SA..... :'( :'( We have not been able to visit the MP since calls to CIC have not been fruitful. But we are believing there will be a speedy process after the SA.
