Got my AOR1 today!
Sent: March 24
Recieved: March 29
AOR1: April 21
Spouse: USA (Texas)
Myself: BC

We didn't send the official marriage cert - sent the copy of the license all filled out and her FBI check still hasn't arrived (sent way back in Jan). Hoping things progress quickly.

Seems like a lot of you are on the same timeline as us. Will be fun to watch everyone's SA dates start showing up!!

Anyone else on here going to settle in Kingston, Ontario...would be cool to find another! 8) 8)

Hello everyone.. want to share some good news. I saw so many people here received my AOR in march, almost similar timeline as me. I decided to give cic a ring.

I am a Hui Chinese-Canadian citizen sponsoring my wife from Tunisia. I am from Nanaimo, British Columbia.

The call centre was extremely busy; i had to try twice before the system can transfer me to a live person.

My old client ID, when I used to become PR was more than a decade ago.. I gave it to her anyway. apparently it worked . She asked my home and work number. Name and date of birth.. based on her tone.. I was like.. hmm I must be in the system. cuz I never gave cic my current work number during my own PR application, which was 15 years ago. lol. then she put me on hold for 5 mins..

She told me they received my application back in March 29th. currently 39 days to approve.
I asked her if I should submit the new option C of 2015. She told me that the spousal application wasn't income based. not necessary.

Despite I had a perception from this forum that cic call centre wasn't helpful. I found the lady I talked to was polite and friendly. not sure if know a few French made me different; cuz she sounds like a Quebecer. I speak a little bid French.

So I guess you should give a ring; if your timeline is like mine.

good luck everyone!

I wonder why CIC did not email me? neither i receive a physical mail too.

I'm on day 36 now since my application was submitted to Mississauga. I'll give them a call tomorrow to see what is going on with my application.

Thanks.

good luck. the call centre is so hard to get thru.. make sure you reserve half hour to a hour.. keep calling until the system allows you to talk to a live person.

lol... where are you?? Pacific? yes. i am in B.C call in the middle of the day... not only the system automatically drops me "due to a large call volume".. i had to redial twice.. even i was able to be transfered.. another 15 mins.. i guess wasn't too bad.

Hi guys,

I got my SA thru mail today. I didn't received AOR coz accdg to the CIC agent I don't have email add on my file. I checked ecas App received- Mar. 4, AOR- Mar. 30, SA - Apr. 8 and hubby's file has been forwarded to Manila VO. So to those who haven't received AOR or SA try calling CIC.

Good luck to us & God bless!

Cyine
