MARCH 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

Hi everyone i applied for outland spousal application march 14 2016.....but i haven't received AOR1 and its been almost 30days and i have been reading anonymously on the this forum seeing people getting AOR1 in less than 36 days....i became so worried and i had to call cic after work this evening and i got my wife who is the sponsor to speak to them they asked her few personal questions and information....few mins later the call center representative said to my wife Congratulation your sponsorship application have been approved and he gave her application reference number....1st of all it feels like a film trick coz im wondering why didn't i get an email of AOR1 like every other person do here on this forum
2ndly is sponsorship approval same thing as SA people keep talking and i kept reading here on this forum
3rd why is it so quick to get SA i thought people said on this forum its few days or weeks after AOR1 Email that's when People get SA
4th the application reference number my wife was given by the cic call center representative worked when i logged am wondering to my self i thought people said on this forum the application reference number takes few days or weeks before an applicant can have access to the update of the application
5th when i logged in it said medical recieved and the date my application is received by cic 14th march but noting on the screen saying my wife sponsorship application is approved but however the call center representative said my wife sponsorship have been approved .....am just a little bit confused how all this works congratulation to everybody who have gotten AOR... :-[

Well if she just got approved, they might not have updated ECAS yet, or sent the email. You have to be patient, 30 days is really nothing.

I find it hard to believe the call center would give blatantly false information like that about her status (though anything is possible with the call center ). If they said she has SA then she must, so all is well. Yes, SA = sponsor approval.

Sometimes people don't get AOR, for what reason no one really knows. It's just CIC's incompetence.

If it will make you feel better just get her to call again and talk to another agent. Ask them to confirm what the other agent said. And, remember to check your junk email, and next time you call the call center, confirm they have the correct email address.

Woot woot.. Just got the AOR1 email On a Saturday to boot! However, they sent back the corresspondence in my former married name which I do not go by anymore.. I clearly labelled everything with my maiden name and it shows as my divorced name. I hope this does not cause an issue!

My girl friend is sponsoring me..I have been in bc,Canada for 5 years.
1 ) If I apply outland do I need to go to my home country for interview or is there any chance that I can be interview within Canada? ?
2) who is required for interview? both of us or only who is being sponsored if I need to go to my home country ?

In your case I think it will be sent to Ottawa but they might send it to your country,call CIC to confirm. Only the sponsored is interviewed not both of you, there will be an interview if something is wrong or not clear!, don't panic just make sure everything is supplied accordingly.

a quick question I still cannot access ECAS maybe I'm making a mistake but where it says country do i put Canada? since I'm the sponsor or do i put country of birth?

I cannot access eCAS using my UCI and my info (sponsor), but when I put application # with my husband's (applicant) info it shows application received but nothing about sponsor info.

I just tried it now your way and it worked actually. it said Medical received as well.

my info doesn't show either. I inputed my husbands info and thats all it says. regarding myself (sponsor) still shows unavailable.

Okay, thanks, may be after few days we should be able to login using our UCI and then see both info.

Hello. Just a question, im a march 21 applicant and my sponsor haven't received any email yet for aor. I tried to log in on her(sponsor) ecas, but shows nothing. I read some posts here, so i decided to try to log in on my (applicant) uci (got it from my previous trv) ecas. Surprisingly, it shows that my application was received march 21. Does that mean i got my aor1 already? How will we know about SA? Is there anybody here shows their ecas already around our day of application? We thought it will take fews days for the ecas to work.
