Congrats on those who have received AOR. My application was received on March 9 and I got an email from them today saying they have received it but it doesn't mention that its in process. Is this still my AOR?

If you received a UCI # and Application #, then yes I believe this is your AOR.

I finally received my AOR today too and CIC received my application on March 8th ;D

Getting excited by all these AOR's coming in for everyone

I was wondering if anyone is doing anything in preparation for their when PR it arrives? We're currently getting our house ready to sell, so it isn't a big rush when we finally hear something. Is anyone doing anything similar?

I do have my UCI number and when I check online it says that they couldn't identifiy me or that my application hasn't been processed yet. Maybe it's just taking longer for me

We listed our house last week and it sold within 24 hours of listing with a closing date of April 29! We were not expecting it to be so fast so now we are in a bit of a whirlwind and will be moving into an apartment until my husbands PR status comes through! Forcing us to pack and make lists so I guess the up side is we will have everything together when the time comes to move!

Another question; I'm guessing that the tax assessments do not have to be translated. I'm translating my husband's police checks, birth certificate, and our marriage certificate and that's it. Let me know if I'm right. I really don't want to make a mistake. If you're from Italy or a non English country, let me know what documents you had translated and what the process was like.

I Really hope it doesn't take too long for the translations.

1) Yes that's correct, 2.

2) Do NOT mail it to the Rome office. It needs to go to the Mississauga office. CIC will forward it to the proper outland office once you are approved as a sponsor. Both applications are submitted together.

3) Any official documents such as the PCC and birth certs need to be translated by a certified (professional) translator. Not sure if that's just how you worded it but I thought I'd mention that. The tax form can be translated by you if you like, along with chat logs etc. If the tax form is self-evident, there's no need for a translation, but it doesn't hurt to do it yourself if it's relevant.

I renovated the house last year. Ripped out all the carpets in the house and laid lamenated flooring everywhere. Build a deck that circumferenced the house and found a married couple to maintain the house (rent free) until my wife and daughter lands. It's in a city I don't live but used to work in.

Trying to maintain my sanity, forget about any small errors I might have made and hope like hell!!!

Great! I definitely think it makes sense to get all of this out the way now, instead of decorating, de-cluttering etc. when PR is granted.

We just own a small apartment so been doing all the decorating so it's ready to just stick on the market and hope it sells quickly.
