I don't know how true that is ^^^ - my app is currently IP at Ottawa VO and I can still see SPR and PA on ECAS. When I call CIC my husband's info still shows on the system even when I give my UCI#

Really? Everyone told me that before I even apply and well... it happened to me too.
Maybe it's not a rule, but I'm not l'm no longer able to access ecas with uci number.

Guys today my wife called cic and the agent said to her expect maximum 4 weeks delay to receive SA letter!! What kind of post they use!!!

That's what they told my husband when he called but then he received A OR two days after,hope that helps

I friend of mine received her passport back yesterday. She is a March 29 applicant

Dan, March 29 and already had her passport back??? My application was March 25 and I don't even think they started processing mine...
It's been in SP since May 28th, and ecas hasnt changed either. Should I email them?

Yes! It was a hugh surprise!
Well have you saw in our brazilian forum that Priscila already had her PPR?
And you can e-mail them to, at least, receive AoR2.
Ps.: they don't have a telephone number anymore.

I can access ECAS with both SPR and PA UCI# no issues. However, I have heard of others having issues. It isn't news to me. Their system is so unpredictable.

If you're applying trough Quebec, wait for the SA in mail or email if you stated one, and ah for csq.
If not, your file was/will be transfered to vo abroad and you'll be in the queue.

I'm a March applicant and we hadn't received SA yet so my wife (she's the sponsor) called today. Sounds like all is good; she said the application was in Ottawa, so I'm assuming we got SA and someone just messed up and forgot to note it in the system...she said it was odd there wasn't more in the system for SA and she didn't outright say we had SA, but I'm assuming it wouldn't be in Ottawa if all wasn't OK and the person was pretty positive sounding on the phone. She said we'd get an email from her within three days. I will update the spreadsheet once we get official word.

hello all,

I am filing an sponsorship application for my wife, to give you the background, my wife is currently on a visitor visa to Canada and will be here till November, she will go then to india and may come back in 2 months if the decision on her application is not reached.

so for GenericApplication for Canada :

1) what should I put on her Residential Address ? Canada or India ?

2) also what should I put her as Current country of residence ?

3) Also there is a question on Sponser form - Are you living with someone ? - for this I have listed my wifes name as we are still living temporarily together ? is this correct? please advise.

Please advise folks , need some urgent help.

The processing time for someone residing outside of Canada is much, much shorter than one already in Canada. To take advantage of this, you will want to apply "Outland" which means you should fill out the forms with her information in India, and answer that you do not live together.

Hello! Just wanna ask , what is the date of file transfer? Is it the date that i received the SA approval email which also states that my application has been trasnferred to the visa office abroad - manila for further processing?
