Thank you! I just called and they told me it is the approval.

Congrats!

You encouraged me to call them too.
Hopefully, the agent will give me the status and not asking me to wait until the letter arrives. I will tell him/her it is a week now since they sent it to me.

Congratulations everyone! No change for me, but here's hoping an email shows up soon...

I would recommend you call. The agent was nice. She told me at the end that the approval letter hasnt been sent out yet, so i could have waiting a week before knowing the result. I just couldnt wait an hour 8)

Hello everybody!
My spouse applied for sponsor me outland.I was living in Canada, we got married in Canada on Oct 2014 but I left the country for applying outside. Im in BRAZIL now.
CPC received my package on March 3.

My spouse e-cas shows:

Sponsorship
1. We received your application to sponsor XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX on March 3, 2015.

2. We sent you a letter on April 30, 2015 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Until now we did not receive any e-mail or letter from CPC Mississauga giving results about the SA.
Anybody here that applied at the same day or that have received the message on cease saying the letter was sent on April 30th have received any letter or e-mail? Is CPC slow for sending the SA?
Can somebody help me with this issue please?

Thank you

Congrats Everyone...

No Updates for me.. Hopefully I can hear something this week...

Hello :)

I just wonder where the 3 weeks vacation time frame come from ???

I never read anything that looks like this time in CIC website

Is this an assumption or a known fixed regular figure ?

thanks in Advance

As far as I know it's not a documented, hard limit. It's going to make things fishy looking for your officer, however, so it would be a good idea to retain lots of documentation that proves you still LIVE in Canada. Document everything; that you went to see your spouse, that you stayed with them, etc. If you have a job in Canada that's giving you leave, or allowing you to work remotely, document that as much as you can (letters from employers, rent receipts and a lease agreement from your apartment in Canada, bank statements showing activity in Canada, electrical/other utility bills, etc.)

A lot of these things aren't strong rules necessarily, CIC relies heavily on the opinion of its officers. Anything over 2-3 weeks is going to raise an officer's suspicions significantly, so you will need to convince them that you live in Canada, etc, but if you have documentation to prove the situation is as you say then it's not going to be a big issue.

Hello team March,

So happy to see all the DM March got!! Congrats!!
No updates for me but keeping positive!! ;)

Cheers! :)

Congratulations to you all!! 8)

I'm still in process.. but I'll go with the theory that because I'm in Québec, it'll take a little big longer...

This looks like a good week for march applicants! =)
