Congrats!
I heard is taking between 6-9 months.

I dont understand those huge proccesing times, usually people is landed in Canada within 6-7 months from the application date :-[

Bands89,

We really do have a similar timeline. We should definitely keep each other informed. CSQ is not required on my end as I live in Ontario, not Quebec. Keep in touch. Also you should join this thread as it's all Dominican Republic related.

There's a few of us on there currently in process. It's nice to stay connected.

We sure should! I heard Mexico's processing time is 6-9 months :-X :o

I got medical jan. 14 2015 then my hubby brought it home from here then my lawyer file it march 12 along with our other documents.

CIC just renewed the quarterly updated VO processing time, my VO takes 3 months longer now plus they just took over all the cases from BJVO, from the recent updates it doesn't seem like they have increased any staff at the VO, I am desperate.

Although it's nice that I'm with my husband now in Canada, but it's kinda hard for us to live rely on one income, we have enough till fall but since the processing time is longer, we might leave the country to where we can both work till I get the PR. I just got my one year visitor visa extension till next April, if I leave before the end of this year will that be ok? That also means I leave almost half an year before the visa they issued expires, will this leave me a bad record? We are both seriously thinking about going to Australia to work for a while, my only concern is the half-used visitor visa may leave me a bad record.

I actually just received an email from the London Office, they did confirm my application is in their possession for processing. Phew! Least I feel better now knowing its there and not gone missing :)

Hi, emails generally go through 5 to 7 days after letter has been sent out. It'll come don't you worry, we all been there :)

How come I still dont have SA? App received march 13th. I called the CIC yesterday and they already put a note on my application because processing times had passed already. CIC agent told me to wait until August. This is making me so angry. They havent checked my application yet. >:(

I am getting nervous. My status states a letter was sent on may 14, but nothing so far. I called today. The rep was very nice. He told me it seems me as a sponsor has been approved but the letter has never been sent. He wrote a letter to the processing department to ask why. He alsoctold me it will be sent by regular mail. I asked if it possible to send by email. He said it's up to them. I am just nervous on the "seems has been approved" part.

Don't worry, 97 to 98% of people are Sponsor approved , its a very high rate. If there was problems with your application they would email you if had any queries but if the fact you heard nothing at all is usually a good sign :)
