They seem to SA the Americans first just from seeing the ones who got theirs so far. Wonder why

I'm also wondering if applicants from Quebec dont't have to wait more for SA, because CIC does communicate with MICC. Any opinion on this?

Received AOR on the 15/04 but no sign of SA yet, would be interesting to see if there was any commonality between the people receiving SA currently - as d_j_heckford said above possible Americans first. In my case my sponsor currently lives with me outside of Canada - wonder if this makes a difference in time-scales.

Also which happens first - ecas gets updated or the email is sent? Is there any point checking ecas or just wait for an email?

I received mine 4pm (Canadian time).

I just checked my ECAS and it hasn't updated to show I received SA. So I assume the email comes first.
