Some people don't get emails on AOR, but if an agent gave you a number and you can login and view, then that's great, means your application is in process. Next step is Sponsorship approval. Once the sponsor has been reviewed and background checked and pass all the requirements, you get approved and then they turn their attentions to the spouse for the last phase. If no issues and a well prepared application is in place, you will be granted permenant residence :) Just brace for a long wait . What visa office are you?

I am Canadian and I am here in the UK with my family. I got an application to bring them over in process, so their visa office is in London.

Congrats! They're at a steady pace this week. Hope they'll be sending out more AORs before the weekend. I'm sooooo anxious, I still have a long way to go.:(

Is AOR the same thing as client ID number?

No AOR and Client ID are Different. (AOR) Acknowledgement of Receipt is an Official Formal Email to Provide the state that CIC recieved Your Application Successfully.
Client ID is a Unique ID Assigned by CIC to All Clients who have applied for any kind of Application with CIC.It could be Work Permit,Study Permit,PR or Visitor Visa.
in AOR email includes UCI # Universal Client ID of Sponsor and a Unique File Number. So in future for any inquiry you can use File Number or Client ID for Application

Some Applicant don't get AOR so it should not be a problem. The Client ID that CIC Call Center Agent gave you it should be UCI of Sponsor and if you are able to see Status Online then you are Ok even you did not Received AOR.
The Next Step is (SA) Sponsorship Approval when they check for Sponsor Eligibility and Send file to Related Visa Office.

Does anyone know when CIC updates the wait times on processing Assessment of Sponsor? CIC sites does say that the time for this is updated weekly but last update was March 31, which is 3 weeks ago.

Hi hfts I am in the same boat as you, my app was received on March 19th as well. Hopefully we'll hear something soon :)

So i Sent my application on 9th April, and it was received on 13th according to tracking #. But it doesn't state who was the person that received my application, should i be concerned as few of members here have lost their application?
