Unfortunately, it is very possible. This is exactly what worries me: the application is mailed back and arrives late or lost in the way. I don't care much what happens after the AOR. Whether my application takes 6 months or a year is not a big issue. I'm not going anywhere soon. I just want to avoid the 4/6 rule which will make me ineligible to apply for another year and a half.
I totally agree with you. It should be some way to know if our applications are received by CIC (they should confirm that for us, not by mail tracking only online) or not to avoid any delay...

No nees for me yet ,they received my application in the 23rd of March :(

Looks like your eCAS got activated before the AOR was sent out. As they only say recd your application on March 17. If they had sent out an AOR, another line would say "We have sent you an acknowledgement of receipt on _______ (date) , please consider the delay in the mail etc......."

Just give them a few days to update the eCAS.

Fingers crossed, thank you Sonia.

Congrats to all new AoR recipients.

Got my AOR a few minutes ago. What a relief !

Phew ...... I was feeling bad for you and somewhere back of my mind thinking 'may be because of RQ it is getting delayed' ........ BUT what a relief & certainly a good news.

Cheers

I was waiting to receive the AOR by mail, we got it by email a long time ago and status said it was sent of Mar 22..
.....................

Any good thoughts and input are very welcomed.

Don't worry Rakiura

It has become a kind of routine for CIC to do like this. Try to get the maximum proof/ documentation as per their requirement & send it at the earliest. Don't wait for 35/40 days. They will take some time to put these documents in your file. So try to finish & send within 3 weeks. By the time your file comes for next observation/check, it should be complete in all aspects. Take care.

Cheers, Anil.

Got my eCAS activated today, it's in status Received. But still one step nearer to the destination

Docs Sent - 25th March
Received - 31st March
AOR - April 13th
eCAS activation - April 15th

Thanks Anil. I think it's too early to worry about getting a RQ. They are usually issued after the application gets into process.

hi asaif, did you know the reason for your delayed AOR as compared to other March applicants...

No, I have no idea why it took them 34 days to acknowledge receiving the application.

Did some one have not received the AOR by "MAIL" yet after receiving the AOR by E-Mail ? its been 2 weeks for me i have not received any letter of AOR by Mail yet. how long does it take normally to receive the AOR at home??

Cheers !!

I doubt if CIC will send an AOR by mail too after sending one by email. I just got one in email and that's it.

they don't send it by mail thats just in the AOR template

if they did Canada Post is awful cause I received my first PR AOR about 6 years ago and it never arrived :-)
