I understand your frustration since I was in your position a few days ago. I called the CIC and the agent was completely clueless, but I got my AOR the next day. Most probably just a coincidence but it won't hurt to give them a call. Also check the status of your application on the Ecas system. Sometimes they send the email to a wrong address so it never arrives. Good luck.

You can check it using the "Client ID Number" which is on the front side of your PR card and takes the form (xxxx-xxxx)

So it's not active yet. It's usually activated 2-3 days after the AOR is sent.

Definitely. People from some national/ethnic/religious background may need extensive security checks.

There's quite a wide range of timeframes for receiving the AOR, with some applicants waiting well over a month, despite the rest of their batch moving quickly. My husband is from Russia and he got AOR within 2 weeks, so I don't think they are delaying simply based on country of origin. Don't be discouraged, it will come in time. I would wait at least a few more weeks before contacting CIC.

Nope windsor, no updates yet. I am checking spams, ecas everyday but nothing. Planning to call CIC this week.

Hi Asaif, to be honest I was getting worried. Got my AOR 5 minutes ago. Took 42 days to get it!
