Ok now I'm nervous. We needed a cover letter?

All throughout the application, it does indicate that if a document is missing, lost etc, you have to attach a letter explaining as such. We also put in a cover letter to itemize certain documents that we submitted and a brief explanation.

We did not want to put a PS or a note in the application itself, hence a cover letter. Which is not required, as per the document checklist, but it does help greatly when it comes to special situations.

Ok. Phew. I didn't have anything really to explain. The most comics red thing I have is a legal name change, which was asked on the form. I provided my documents for that as they requested.

1- Always say the truth brother , you left 14.Feb.2014 so write it 14.Feb.2014
They don't care what time did you arrive your destination, places are different.

2. They ask about passports biological pages of the last 4 years 2015-4 = 2011

Anything before 2011 is not anyone business

That's unfortunate. You don't need to refill the application and pay fees again. Just include the additional documents and explanation letter as you mentioned and send it back. Good Luck!

This is first time I am hearing they stamped a passport extension in the expired passport. They sent a new passport when I renewed mine in 2008 at NY.

When i went to renew my indian passport (which was issued in africa) to Ny consulate in 2008... they gave me a new passport for 1 year, because they said they needed time to verify that the passport issued in africa was genuine.

when I went after a year, they just extended the one year passport to 2018 (on page 5)... weird ways of the indian consulate of NY

I have had weird looks from immigration officers at border points too...

I have attached a cover letter and color copy of that page 5.... resending today....thanks folks for all the advise...i should have attached a coverletter at the beginning

I believe having our files vetted prior (original Feb 20 applicant, app was returned), they should have gone through the docs already and it was just a matter of time...AOR in 15 days...wow! kudos to CIC.

Our PR card is expiring in July, hopefully our citizenship journey will end prior to that as it is another cost to us to the tune of $ 200-ish.

now you have to translate all stamps from 2008 - now
