Hello Friends,

I'm the creator of this thread but haven't been around for the last couple of weeks. My wife has arrived on visitor visa and if anyone needs to know how that came about, that is conversation we can have in private. I believe all of our March group now have AOR and SA.

I viewed the Manila VO Spreadsheet and it appears that folks are getting their PPR exactly at the 6-month mark. December applicants got their PPR in June, January applicants have received their PPR in July. So there appear to be consistence in CIC's work.

What country she from? What documents she used to prove her genuine stay?

My wife and I are going to submit her TRV this weekend, and we have lots and lots of documents.

can someone explain to me..why some people get the COPR in the mail while others get a passport request? or is that the same thing? ???

For US applicants through Ottawa, some applicants get a passport request - it's not the physical passport, but a copy of the Bio page to make sure nothing has changed (name change, new passport, etc), while some skip that step and just get their COPR in the mail.

OMG OMG OMG... i just got my passport request! and my RPRF request too. I was planning to pay it tomorrow when the money hit my account. Thought it would be enough time to complete before they picked up my file, guess not! aaaand i guess i won't be changing my name on my passport since i'm in canada and won't be able to get it changed until august! fingers crossed if i send it in asap they continue processing before the bring forward date that is the end of august. EEEEEEEK!!!!!!

Yes the more I think about it actually, I think it's a good sign, they obviously wouldn't destroy relationship proof without keeping it on file (they did say something like Sample Sets kept on file, maybe that meant they took samples of my chats and saved them). Can't wait for the next set of notes 2 weeks later to see what else they say.

Does that mean comments get added to the file all the time? I was under the impression that the file only gets looked at twice - once at Mississauga office where initial comments about the file are added and SA is given; and secondly when your turn comes at your visa office. Until that time is there any point applying for notes? or is my understanding not correct? Thanks.

Congrats, it seems like Ottawa is moving fast and quite a few of us have heard something from them pertaining to our passports!

Sweet! Congrats rhcohen!! Our lawyer told us today that it would take approx. 3-4 weeks for the COPR to arrive to my wifes residence in the States, exciting day!
