MARCH 2014 OUTLAND APPLICANTS

Hi there, new to the board, applied to CIC in March 2014, spouse is in the USA..I was approved as sponsor in April 2014, we have been in wait mode since with no word from CIC. I have a question and wondered if some of you would be able to respond. I have read that there is a UCI# for the sponsor, which we have, and that there is also a UCI# for the applicant ? I was not aware of this, how do we obtain this number.
I have called the Call Centre a couple of times and there are never any operators available, selecting option where application is in progress.... is this the area I should be contacting ? or do I send an email to Ottawa requesting same ? Also as a side note, I have not been able to log into the website either.

hello po Im just a newbie here. Hindi pa din po ako nakakapag file ng application since tomorrow pa lang po lalabas ang marriage certificate namen then, I can get a passport since change status na din po ako.

May question lang po ako regarding the medical, mauuna po ba ito bago po maipadala sa sponsor ung application?

Thank you po.. Hoping to here anyone soon!

hi jhallane you must speak english for all of the members here understand your question, anyway you must take your medical first before sending your application to avoid delays.

this isn't necessarily true. there are plenty of applicants who wait to send in their medical results until cic requests them, and it does NOT cause noticible delays in processing. One particular applicant who did this with the ottawa VO got processed in 6 months, which is relatively quick. Medical exam results can be sent either upfront with the application or later when requested by the visa office.

From what I read manila applicants thats what they suggested and instead of 14months mostly manila applicants gets visa in 6 to10 months.and also it takes time before the physician send the result to the embassy that's why it cause delays, while you send it theysame time with your application embassy don't need to request and to wait, so if the application is complete then the decision made fast.

I was just able to log into the website ! :D

And I finally got my answer from CIC, they only assign a UCI# to your spouse if the application is INLAND, for OUTLAND the Sponsor UCI# is the only one you get !

Any Outland Medicals have to be done upfront to avoid delays or run the risk of having application returned as incomplete.Especially CEM.

Um, nope. Not sure who the person at CIC was but that's wrong. You get the applicant's UCI when (and if) you get an AOR2 from the visa office (the email that says they received your application).
You can't get it any other way - unless the call centre person decides to go digging for you. Or if you already had a visa in the past, then your UCI is whatever you had as your UCI then.
 
Hello Pinay_G. May Ask lang po sana ako since bago ako dito sa forum. Ask ko lng ko ngletter ba ang CIC mississuaga for file transfer to VO manila sayo? Kasi ako march applicant din pero ang natanggal lng ng husbnad ko sponsorship approval letter. Ung file transfer hindi namin alam. Pwede kaya na ako mg follow sa VO natin dito or c hubby lang dapat? Any idea po? Thank you :)

Hi, please refrain from using Tagalog so everyone can understand and can help you with your questions/concerns. My VO is Manila too and to answer your question, Yes you should get email/letter stating that application is forwarded to your VO and that it should be on the sponsorship approval letter.

WRXSTI is correct when your husband received the SA it says that your file has been transfer.
