To see what the VO is writing about your application. They will say whether they are concerned about age difference, quick marriage, etc and will say whether they will do an interview or not. Knowing this info will give you time to send evidences to counter their concerns.

Speaking of age difference, take a look at this story: http://www.calgaryherald.com/touch/story.html?id=9964295

I knew it was that Filipina bride before I even clicked on the link :)

Congrats to that guy, sucks to make anyone wait so long for a decision.

hi readers,
how to request GCMS notes?

Via the online request link on this page: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/requests-atip.asp

It takes 30 days and costs $5.

Hi everyone, just a bit of an update, I got my passport back with the visa ;D Took about 25 days from the time I sent it. Thank you everyone for all your help and for those who are still waiting, hang in there your time will come

You must be the first March applicant to get this visa. We are happy for you. CIC in General seems to be working significantly faster than last year. But then again, they were in the middle of strike last year. This is good sign for all of us.

My wife is coming here in a week on visitor visa. We are going to Niagara Falls and Canada wonderland. Yup, we are big kids....lol.

Thank you O_guy! Have fun with your wife. You must be thrilled she can visit! . Share the wonderful vacation story with us.

Have any of you been following the latest trends for your visa offices through other posters on the forum? For Accra, we have been noticing that this years applicants are starting to get decisions made and PPRs, even though the average processing times is at 15 months.
Two February applicants from Accra have gotten PPR and one just got notified that her visa is ready for pickup. We are pretty excited about it all and have high hopes that we will hear something in the next 2 months or less :) All the VO's in general seem to be working fairly quickly this year! Hopefully we are all reunited by years end if things continue this way

yes, ottawa is processing applicants from sept - january, so it's exciting to see things speeding up. i believe there was a strike last year that caused major delays, plus the consolidation of offices may account for the longer processing times posted on the site, since the data is over a year old.
