And is there a way to block posts from spammers?

I'm sure the admins do, but the spammers just keep creating new accounts. This happens like every night. It's annoying unless you want a white magic voodoo specialist. Lol if you do want one, the numbers are there!

Its not easy calling as I am hard of hearing. Calling long distance without a reference number to begin with is difficult. There is a series of numbers we have to push before even speaking with a person? I know I saw somewhere and someone did not want people to see? Wish I took a snapshot. It's going to be an interesting phone call to say the least with us (she knows english well but is still hard on phone hearing strangers english, and me who more or less has to depend on what she can relay to me).

hmmm... when i tried the number that was suppose to work outside canada, it didn't, so don't even bother looking for it. all you have to do when calling the 888 number from within canada is press 0 and you'll just be in line to wait. perhaps when you get back to canada, a family member can help you with the call?

what i usually do is click on the thread, and press the "report to moderator" button on the bottom right of the post. (it's super tiny)

there are still march applicants still waiting. CIC seemed to have had a back up with march applicants, because of the amount of applicants, a long weekend, and a system bug. The current processing time is 40 days... if she wants she can call CIC and get an update. My guess is she will hear this week, as they seem to be wrapping up march applicants. I think it's important to remember that even though they give a specific date of what applications they are working on, it doesn't mean they are finished processing all the other applications received before then. To me, that just means they started opening up applications from that specific date, not that they are sending approvals for applications from that date.

So my friend was keep waiting for any sign from CIC (CIC got her app on March 28th, they sent it with tracking number). I convinced her to call and they told her the application is lost! Now they will look for it and they will let her know by email. Does it happen often that CIC loses applications? Anyone heard about it before and if application was found? Thats really depressing according to all the money and time we spend to prepare our documents. CIC must have big mess over there :(

i would highly recommend she call back and talk to another person at cic. a lot of the times, they don't really know, and you will get different answers from different people. while it's *possible* they did lose it, not having it in their system is no guarantee it was lost. it just means it hasn't started processing yet. considering she's not too far off from the current processing date of april 4th, i would again suggest she try calling back to see if she gets another answer.

Thanks, ill tell her to call again :) Hope they will find it.

It's so dumb. Every morning I wake up hoping to see good news and it just gets worse. How is it even possible to go from 28 to 44 days in such a short time period??? I know they earn a good salary, especially senior officers who make over 80000 which I saw from a stats link posted on here awhile back. I understand about the holidays people. But I used to work in a service job and we had holiday schedules in place to ensure the same amount and quality of service during short weeks. I just am venting cuz of no AOR yet and from reading peoples problems on here, it seems the CIC will NEVER inform youmof anything missing or lost or if they did receive the documents they request. At this rate, it looks like I will receive an email in about 3 more weeks (if I'm lucky)..... Threee months after submitting application! And of course my wife's vo is Singapore, so i very well may be dead before Canada issues her PPR. ???

Great. 47 days, not 44. :-\

All you can do is just keep living life and try to be proactive. Try not to get upset about things that you don't have control over, and do your best to do everything in your power to make your process smoother. You can only do the best you can do, nothing more.

I've heard that some people send in extra relationship evidence once they receive their AOR2, I wasn't going to, but I am now actually considering it. I heard Mexico is slow to give aor2, but pretty fast with the process in general so I might have the baby before we get the aor2. So I think I'm going to send the skype calling records from April and onwards, some pics of my sister and my husband (my sister and her friend went on vacation and stayed with him for 3 weeks) I have some screenshots of us skyping each other, and then records of my financial assistance for him from April onwards.

Also I know we are going to probably be delayed because of his medical but we are already preparing for that, he's going to go in sometime in the next month for a remed to send CIC an update showing the the TB is gone. Hopefully this will help with the delay, but since they want him to be cleared for 6 months before issuing the visa we know that 6 months after this remed we should probably go for another remed.

So this is how I am passing the time, just preparing in every way that I can in trying to avoid further delays. A couple of months after the remed I will order gcms notes to see where we are at and at that time if I don't see any evidence that they have waived the interview we will start preparing for that.

You just have to find ways to pass the time. You know that your relationship is genuine and that it's only a matter of time before they approve you, and that these challenges will only make your relationship stronger.

Thanks agarand8, it truly seems you are putting forth the best application possible to leave absolutely no room for doubt. I imagine that we are alike, sponsors working hard and planning endlessly to gather as much proof as possible and plan to submit additional documents as well to ensure no future problems or interviews. It just sucks I have to worry about even being approved as sponsor first and I guarantee that everyone who knows me would say that I am a calm and patient person, but this is close to pushing my limits.
