ECAS updated April 10, 2014- SA approved - received an email advising same and that the file was to be forwarded to Ottawa
Medical Done: March 24, 2014/Upfront report received and submitted to Ottawa April 15, 2014
Request for further information and passport: July 8, 2014/submitted July 8, 2014
Further information requested: July 16, 2014/submitted July 16, 2014
Status: have heard nothing further from CIC Ottawa

Passport request received today, 28 July! Woot, woot!!! We're in Canada on vacation right now, but as soon as we return home that passport is going via courier to the Manila embassy.

What a great feeling! I hope that the rest of you get to this stage soon - the feeling after the wait is amazing.

Hello Friends,

Excited to share with the group that we received PPR email from the VO couple of hours ago. Since my wife is already in Canada on visitor visa, we hope that this means interview is being waived. But as the saying goes, hope for the best but prepare for the worst.

Yep, 99% interview recommended waived. Good news to share together in Canada. You don't expect me to update the sheet do you?

Lol....that is funny. But seriously, I hate the Singapore VO since they made my friend wait for over two years and then declined his wife PR. But that was during the strike a year ago, so I hope you will not wait that long.

Does anyone have a link to CIC for requesting the notes on your file ?

I could only find the one on the CIC website which I am apparently not allowed to post here for some reason.

I am not sure if this is the right one, it states that only a Canadian resident or Permanent Resident or Representative can make the request.

It is the notes on my husbands file that we wish to obtain, am I able to obtain these ? he can't as he currently does not fit into any of the groups allowed to request them according to the link...... any help on understanding this process or a link to the right area, would be appreciated.

i don't have the link for the webpage. here is the link to the video that explains it. I know you want the "freedom of information" act, the one that prompts a $5 payment. The free set is not the right ones. Yes, only a canadian can order the notes, if they are for your husband then he will need to sign a consent form for you to include in the request. I believe the instructions are also in the video.

I found this a few months ago and saved it: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5563E.pdf

Just fill that form and mail it in with a $5 cheque. The address where you have to mail it to is on the form.
