I received RCMPO request on May 15th, I got it after a week and sent it over to CIC.
My ECAS never changed from "Application Received". I don't think it is supposed to change at this stage, from what I have heard the
first change on ECAS will occur when they receive medicals

i just file my application march 2 2014, and received my file no. march 3..hopefully by july there will be a positive response...

God bless us all...

Does everyone get a RCMP request? Or is it just random?

not everyone gets RCMP request, it seems "random" but who knows. I read one time on this forum that they request RCMP from people whose name based police check couldn't be obtained internally, so they ask for finger print based RCMP certificate

I second that , I got the RCMP request too and I firmly believe , CIC request it when as per gentleman above "people whose name based police check couldn't be obtained " . So if people are getting it , its a good thing at least to be aware that something is happening on the file .

Don't know what you mean by Positive response But assuming you mean MR , Then considering current trend March Applicant should start getting MR from Aug End or Sep starting (Please note exceptions are always there ;D)

Good Luck

almost every may applicant is getting a status of "IN PROCESS" on their ECAS. Whats the difference?

Please check the MAY 2014 thread where people have posted their ECAS status

Would anyone please head me to the right direction on how to do upfront medicals? I've seen different threads saying different things about it. I am a March 2014 applicant, and leaving for vacation for a month at early August until Sept which I will predict the request will come out (hopefully :)).

Thank you!
