The GCMS notes would not be useful at this stage. The only reason you would need to request it right now is because you sent some additional documents in and wanted verification that it has been received and attached to your file.

Wait until they have started to process the March applications. If you haven't received your MR following that, then GCMS might be helpful to determine if there was something that was delaying the process.

Can someone tel me whats the next stage after MR?.. Do we need to submit our Passport to CIC any time? I'm planning to go to my home country for vacation for a month during mid Jan to mid Feb. Would like to check b4 booking my tickets. Does anyone foresee any issue?

Depends if you are from visa exempt country then go ahead , rest if not still you have 60 days to submit passport after the request.

Do any of guys know that an application submitted in november 2014, possibly by 15th of nov, will go through or do you think the cap will be filled by then?
the cap is 8000. by far close to 3000 have gone through. If you can even predict or guess or estimate taking into consideration the previous years. I am eligible under NOC 0631, managerial services. This is eating me up due to the new changes about to be implemented by jan 2015.(Express entry).Any replies would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Take your ielts nobody is stopping you , but how someone can know it be filled or not in advance. To me it wont be filled if you need a reply.

It's always better to apply asap. However, I doubt you will get any different answer on all the other threads.
