COPR only if from visa exempt country

I am from visa exempt country and I also have received PPR as well and was asked to send copy of passport not actual passport
I think COPR (confirmation of permanent residency) means the document when CIC send you back after PPR so that you can land in Canada..

Called cic this morning and got told our file was transferred to Ottowa on the 21st January , ca. Anyone tell me what this means as our ECAS is still only showing medical results recieved ? What happens after its transfered to Ottowa ? Im stressed feels like it's taking forever to get any ECAS updates , they also said its in process but couldn't say from when so confused :'(

THAT MEANS YUR PPR IS NEARFROM OTTAWA THEY SEND PPR..

sharing my timeline as following:

1.We received your application for permanent residence on March 31, 2014.

2.We started processing your application on October 3, 2014.

3.Medical results have been received. (May 20th, 2014)

4.A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision. (FEB 5, 2015)

5.Received email on Feb 13 for PPR, asking for passport and photos.

can anyone help. I am in India right now and got my PPR on 13th feb 2015. I am suppose to submit my request till 14th feb 2015. I will be returning on 10th march 2015. Can ottawa immigration centre provide me 10 additional days than provided to submit my passport? :-[

Email them and request them to extend the submission time. I heard it work. Or ask them if you can submit your passport in India. They do change the visa office just for stamping.

yes, you can.

I'd suggest to wait for some time if its not urgent.

You should not change the province immediately. Atleast wait for few months so that you don't have any trouble in future

So I guess you can ask most recent information on your question in 2015 Feb thread.
(or start a topic to gather people)

Last year it only took a month to get received MR but I see some ppl are waiting more than 6months now since September 2014.
So it seems like CIC doesn't have any timeline thesedays
