What I observed (I'm sure you observed it too), ECAS takes more time to update your status, I was eager on weekend and constantly checking ECAS status, on Saturday evening I got it IP. I've seen people getting their ECAS updated after 1 week. I'm sure yours is in process already. even in March cases it took me 2 days to show the status, some people got it updated same day.

Hello Vicky

That's really nice to hear =) thanks for your explanation. Yeah I totally agree with your thoughts on this ECAS. I am just having another personal matter is going on with this PR process so I think I have become more desperate to see this change :( anyhow I think it's really awesome to stick together like this and appreciate it again on your reply =)

can somebody explain why "In Process" status is so much important? Ofcourse Its good to know our files are moving but what is the actual meaning of "In Process"?

Hello Yo1984,

As far as I know, once you get into "In process", it means an officer finally grabbed your file and begin to look into your application. Before in process, we are just waiting in a queue to be looked at (what like at least 6months?) so it is significant change from previous stage =)

I have one more thoughts on processing time between "In process to Decision made".

Now it is pretty obvious that we are seeing some major patterns to get into "In process".
but to "Decision made", do you guys think the processing time is really case by case now?
Since they are looking at individual's application one by one and make decisions, I assume it's going to be different from everybody.

It seems like it usually takes a month but I also have seen some takes nearly year to see decision made.
does it mean it can take shorter (like two weeks?) if your application is simpler&easier to process than others?

lots of dumb theories are going on my head now....... ;)

Hi Diaboluce,

your theory is right.

my 2 cents: Being said its case by case basis, I observed that 80 to 90% cases are similar e.g. Feb applicant started getting IP between late July to late August (based on when they applied). Similar trend for status change between IP to DM, usually it takes a month(max I guess) and from what I observed after DM it takes 1 week to 3-4 week to get passport request.

As I said earlier (and we all know it), its all case-by-case basis, some case might need extra time to complete process based on their application.

My guess: Feb applicant will start getting DM starting this week or next week. :) and for March applicant its mid-Oct till end of Oct.

That makes sense Vicky, thanks for sharing thoughts :)

This is for all, I filed my AINP under SRS category,
Thank you,

No IP today again :-[

I am waiting for IP too.
My AOR is dated April 9th, and I did my medical exam on May 21th.

I guess they will take a look at my application between October and November, right?

how did you get AOR in one week? wow
so you mean you have physically mailed them and they received on 2nd April and they emailed you back with AOR on 9th April?

Mmmmm...wellll......maybe you are right, and my timeline has some wrong dates! :-\ :-[ :-\ :-[

Well....I sent my PR application to Sydeny, NS and paid by credit card the same day (April 2th).

I received two emails on May 7th. The first one said "Eih bro....we got your application eh!" (....not exactly in that words of course! :P)
The second one was the Med's request.
Perhaps with "AOR" you mean the PNP Acknowledgement of Receipt...in that case you are definitely right...my dates are wrong! In fact, that email is dated February 13, 2014!

OMG...I am so slow! ahahahahahah Sorry guys! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Guys, what is AOR? Just curious to know
