Guys, what is AOR? Just curious to know

Hey yo1984, AOR means acknowledgment of receipt. I means they officially gave you receipt of your application and it's documented.

Well....I sent my PR application to Sydeny, NS and paid by credit card the same day (April 2th).

I received two emails on May 7th. The first one said "Eih bro....we got your application eh!" (....not exactly in that words of course! )
The second one was the Med's request.
Perhaps with "AOR" you mean the PNP Acknowledgement of Receipt...in that case you are definitely right...my dates are wrong! In fact, that email is dated February 13, 2014!

OMG...I am so slow! ahahahahahah Sorry guys!

that means your AOR is 7th May =)

Hi, Not MP brother, office contacted me bez i requested them abt my application. They said my application all looks gud,all background checking finish ready to final review,but unfortunately ainp (my nomination) permanent resident target finish this year. You will get only first of January 2015. This is exactly they said bro.... I just shared with u guys...

my 2 cents: I think its possible as AINP has 5500 PNP quota/year, Manitoba 5000/year and BC 3000/year (not 100% sure about BC quota though). Being said that, I observed AINP issued more than 5500 nominations last year, thats the reason they keep increasing their processing time in order to cope with quota and large no. of appln received for AINP. it is possible that 5500 quota is over for AINP this year from CIC processing wise (just an assumption based on so many available facts), this doesn't mean its bad news for us in terms of PR but in terms of processing. we will still receive PR (after January If this assumption is true).

This all can be just a rumor or truth, we will find out soon. lets track PNP appln province wise.

I have found another link for reference.
So they are capping around 47k / year for PNP applications. so if we divide that 47k by number of provinces couple thousands to 5 thousands would make sense ........... but I really need to get the PR this year that's why I am so concerned..


And I also notice that you are referring that number from PNP websites... and the number is determined by CIC right?
if we were nominated in year of 2014, are we not guaranteed to be in the 5500 caps for year 2014?

just lots of thought are going on...

However, it's not fixed number. they are mentioning as "planned" number and it can change anytime due to any factors... this is what they said in the link
