I'm not sure, we originally were directed to apply inland but it was redirected to outland I'm guessing because of his visitor permit. We didn't have to include the medical with the inland application, so maybe because it's now an outland app (which you include the medical with) they sent a letter asking for it.

I'm not sure our application is moving quickly because it was about 84 days which was on schedule for Step 1 at the time...

Hi Guys

Atlast got the file number.

But one thing, if you didn't get you file number even after 3.5 months of applying just ring the call centre and ask them to place an enquiry, that should help you. This is from my personal experience.

Cheers. :)

Hey all,

Just wanted to share my timeline:

- March 16th: Application Received by CIC
- May 15th: Called in and was told that the file has been transferred to CPP-O (Ottawa).
- June 11th: Received access to eCAS online and can check my status. Shows as "Application Received"
- July 17th: Sent in an inquiry about the status of my application.
- July 19th: Received a reply. Was told that the file is undergoing routine background verification and nothing is required of my at this point.

Still no AOR via mail or email. The wait is killing me!! =S

Hi,

We had applied for PR in the month of February and now waiting for medicals. My spouse is going back to India as her visa is going to expire in Aug. So, is it possible for her to complete her medicals in advance before receiving medical request from CIC? Does anyone has an idea on this?

Thank you.

Congratulations GSIn! I think I should probably give them a call too. What's the number you called at? Thanks,

I do not think you can complete medicals with out medical request from CIC.

We made the appointment and the doctor's office had the form. CIC never sent it with the medical request. I'd call around to try and get an appointment before she leaves. We managed to get an appointment within a couple days :)

Aburana,

Just want to add something here. Don't contact before 30 weeks if you didn't get your AOR/File #. They will send you a standard reply that "we take around 30 weeks to process this file and stuff". I've got mine after 5.5 months. So its better to wait patiently. People who have applied just 4 days after me have already got PPR long time back and I'm still waiting for mine.

I'm not insisting anyone to call CIC and I don't care, just shared my personal experience.

Anyone here still waiting for their PR? I'm tired sick of waiting. This is ridiculous. A number of years ago CEC applications were being processed in 6-8 months. Now its been 5 months and I still haven't even received a damn AOR.

The whole point of creating a CEC class over the Federal skilled worker was to expedite people who already had been living and working in Canada. I guess theres no point to that anymore!

Couldnt agree more...No idea how CIC works...`Just hope for the best..
