HI SamLeb,

I am also from Lebanon. I applied on March 19, received AOR on July 3r. My current status is showing as "Application in Process since October 31st", and until now, I didn't receive any medical requests.

I really don't know what to do. The only reply I am getting through the email is "Your application is in queue waiting to be processed".

Is it something that has to do with being from the MEA?

after my status changed to In Process, they replied my email like: "Please note your file is still under review"
that looks different from "in queue to be processed", which was their previous response.

What is the e-mail address that you used for inquires? I have sent them an e-mail asking them to confirm that they received my medical results last week but now response yet..I e-mailed them to

I am wondering if that is the correct e-mail address...

mmm my status is still ( application was received on April 4th). However in the email they informed me that it went to Ottawa for further processing. In fact mine was sent to buffalo before it closed down, so i have expected to take longer since they had to transfer it to Ottawa again. About being from Middle east i don't know dude could be one of the reasons, since some guys have landed already.

Have you? I have, and by a lot I mean "a lot". Could this be what's delaying our applications? Are they like conducting some kind of security checks in every single country we have visited? That would explain why some people got their PPR so fast and others are waiting forever...

it only makes sense that your travels could be delaying your background screening process. I have no idea whether they background check internationally, however while in uni my friend got a job offer with opg and since he travelled so much his csis check never came in time and he had to forfeit the offer. Pure speculation though...

I will disagree as this is not always the case. I haven't traveled anywhere except Lebanon and Canada yet I am still waiting for medical requests. So we can drop the option of traveling alot....

I think it's probably a lot to do with apps being moved from buffalo to Ottawa ! It's still under 9 months - I really wouldn't be worried about it!
